Course Curriculum Overview

The course was well structured giving us a overall knowledge of Media field. we had an array of subjects like AD & PR, Entrepreneurship in Media, Films and Television Theory and Practices, Media Marketing, Design and Page Make Up. All over the three year. The exams were conducted in a proper manner. Ample of time used to be given for preparation. Usual class tests were also conducted. Practical test were also conducted in college.

Placement Experience

Yes, our college did provide internship. The experience was good I, learnt a lot about my work from that experience.They also provide us with nice placement and job opportunity. Aaj Tak, Radio Mirchi, British Telecom were some of the companies which came for the placement drive at our campus during our previous batch.

We had industrial visits and workshops, Guest lecture, Quiz competition, Annual college fest, Blood donation camp etc.Our college believes in the celebration of life and almost all the festivals are celebrated with utmost joy

Fee Structure And Facilities

My college was feasible. Our total fees for three years was 300000. 50000 have to be paid per semester. We also got digital camera from the management. It was covered within the fees structure. there were no hidden payment or extra charges.

Hostel Facilities

Our institute does not offer accommodation facilities.Rooms are available on PG basis and they had regular connectivity of water and electricity. Our stay was pretty comfortable at the PG. I made a lot of friends and created some of the best memories of my life.

Admission

After passing class 12th, I took admission in this college by going through a interview process with the faculty. After that they handed me the admission form, i filled up the form with required certificates and attachments and submitted it in registrars office. after that they asked me to pay my fees at the cash counter. And with that my admission was done.

Faculty

The faculty were highly educated and were keen to teach the class. Almost everyone was a P.hd holder or Master degree holder. All of our faculty members were adequately qualified and supportive. They all had a plethora of corporate experience under their belt

SXC Kolkata is a gem of a college.

Placement Experience:

Computers are so vast that masters is mandatory and therefore I have certain plans for that. However big scale IT companies come here and students of Computer science Hons have had placements worth 6-10 lakhs easily. My plans are to appear for the job interviews but not taking any as I want to study more.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum was well-structured, and each semester, there were projects and presentations that also helped to test our knowledge. I got influenced as the curriculum provides us with financial economics, political economics, and Applied mathematics. The level of the exams was decent, related to the course. They could improve in teaching more practical knowledge and projects related to that, instead of only learning in a theoretical way.

Placements and job oppurtinities are less since this is an undergraduate college offwering honours degree. Though there is a placement and career councelling cell that looks over this matter. Placements are offered only in a few subjects, such as industrial chemisrty and computer science. The rate of placements are very high and come with high packages. Though I am not interested in placements, but I have started taking preparations for compititive exams. Such preparations are very supported here, rather than jobs and placements.

FIEM - The Nooks and Corners !

There were few colleges I applied to based on my WBJEE ranks . There was St. thomas college, techno college , heritage , msit and many more . If you know the way of how WBJEE admissions work , you will know we need to give a list of college and they would choose according to our preference and rank . Now according to that , I got this college . Well, if telling why I didn't get applied in other colleges which were much better it was due to my WBJEE rank , which was not that upto mark . Talking about the admission process , its just following the process of WBJEE admissions and on admission day providig the necessary documents needed by the college which will be informed ( or maybe we need to know) . If we talking about cut offs it changes every year so we need to look after it from previous years' cut off list . Also , you need to have atleast a good percent in both ICSE and ISC for admission....Read More
