Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

This course as we already know requires a lot of reading and memorizing, once you get to learn the concepts you can easily remember everything, the course syllabus is very standard. There are seminar courses to be taken in the fourth and final year, one paper and two papers respectively.

Placement Experience

4.5

This course needs exposure as much as possible hence the college make sure that we attend internships to gain an experience of a workplace before being recruited, Our seniors have worked under judges, NGOs, law firms, etc. Some of the companies that recruit from here are Singh and Singh advocates, Lexport, Reliance, Indian Oil, Kotak. Except those who feel like doing their masters in law, which is a lot, rest of the others get recruited.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee for the first year is Rs. 1.33 Lakhs and for the following four years, it is Rs. 1.26 Lakhs. The total fee for the entire course sums up to Rs. 6.35 Lakhs. Students who do not find this feasible can avail student educational loans from any banks and there are many scholarships schemes too by the government.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

There are a lot of scholarships schemes, the vice-chancellor does a fee waiver for deserving and needy students, the government of Delhi allots five scholarships each year for students belonging to ST/SC. This covers their tuition as well as boarding charges. Some of us are already aware of the post-matric scholarships that the Delhi government provides us.

Campus Life

4.5

The college gives as much importance to extracurricular activities as it gives to the academics, we have inter-college sports events often, and cultural programs in which we take part in music and dance competitions. We have many seminars taken by experts in the field, it is very useful. Students here celebrate all the festivals together and there is no discrimination among us.

Admission

AILET (All Indian Law Entrance Exam) is the mandatory and the only requirement to get into NLU. I got a good score out of 150 marks and hence I go the admissions in the first round itself. You can either apply online or in person.

Faculty

5

All our staffs believe in interactive and practical learning, everyone is a well-qualified, trained professional in their field. They are very approachable, some of them have worked in well-known firms worldwide, which make them a great person from whom we can learn about the corporate world.

Placement Experience:

Speaking the truth, if one is considering placement in law courses here on this campus then it's not the right place. Indeed there are placements here too but not as per the expectations rather students do well in off-campus placements than going for on-campus placements. With an average placement of 3-4 lacs here on this campus if you still are inclined towards the same.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Doing law was a very instant decision of mine I got an interest in law during my preparation for DU -JAT and then I realized why not go for both professional couses in one go. Faculty members at gibs are very supportive and friendly they keep on motivate the students through different teaching methods. If you are at gibs you don't have to worry much about the term exams because the college prepares you for the exam from the starting they take the class test after the completion of every unit and then the internal is also there. I faced no difficulty in preparing myself for the term exams as I went through the learning process and what I have to do is only revision.

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are not the biggest strength for the law department. The rate is too low. Although they offer great internships starting from 3rd year. But campus placements aren't that efficient. Although they're expanding it now and working on it.
