The secret life of a xavierite.

The college had a good management now because of the new principal and his new principles he makes it work or the management is pretty rude and mean to students and let's say it isn't very approachable the work done by them is impeccable but they aren't friendly at all so don't even expect a smile.

To get into Xaviers for BA and B.Sc one need not give an entrance exam but for BMW and BMW you'll have to appear for an entrance that happens after your 12th board results. Getting into Xaviers is easy if you have good marks and by good I mean really good unless you are an in-house student they get in at 55% also.

The course curriculum is almost the same as mumbai university because we are still affiliated to them and thus we don't have anything fee different. We have a lot of assignments and projects which is different from other colleges of course. The course does cover important points but doesn't give you the freedom to choose because we have to follow the age old mumbai university pattern.

I am in the SY and as of now I haven't done any internships from my college i have done internship which weren't a part of college i won't be able to answer this question since I don't know much about the placement cells and we have to find our own internships i doubt the college gives us the internships.

We have google and other famous companies coming to our college for placements but it's for the final year students and mostly for BMM and BMS and BA in economics or B.Sc Statistics or BSc IT get placed other people don't.

We have tonnes of events happening in college first is our annual college fest Malhar then we have drama fest Itaka we have antas a hindi fest econundrum by the economics department zephrus by the BMM department. Terra by the Geology department xstatic by the statistics department. We have Jan fest that's a music fest we have antarchakshu by the Xaviers visually impaired department. There is paradigm by the science department and many more fests that I am not aware of.

It's very very feasible anyone with a decent wage can afford it but just in case you can't the college exempts you form paying it or gives you a large discount on your fee so it's not expensive at all. Girls don't have to pay any college fee as such only for the lab and practical and gym Khana. It won't be anything over 3000 rupees a year unless you are a statistics or IT or science students. Then it can go to 12 thousand to 15 thousand per annum.

Nothing that I know of since I haven't taken any loan or scholarship from my college and have come on merit purely and nothing else.

Campus life is amazing you are gonna enjoy Xaviers no matter what stream you belong too. They have fun events and fests and we have different event groups and people from every section and walk of life are given a chance. Good at dance we have street dance and other crews. Good at drama we have antas and itaka and obviously malhar. We have a hockey, football and basketball team for both boys and girls and we also have a blind guys football team. People from so many states come here but there isn't any ragging or racism, everyone lives and accepts each ones uniqueness. Also girls outnumber guys in Xaviers especially in the Arts section. We have great debate teams and we are given the opportunity to speak.

I don't live in the hostel as its for guys and also I am from mumbai the food in this mess in mind blowing and too good we have food from every state of India and every variety. We have pay bhaji to pizza and pasta and pasteries and chinese and punjabi and south Indian and also a home made food section run by anna as we call him. No aerated drinks allowed in the college mess. We have our own juice and coffee centre also the never ending chat counter.

The alumni of xaviers love the college a lot and they do visit us sometimes they help out with fests and events etc. Well the famous ones don't even come back to the campus unless they wanna promote a film or some brand name or something but our college alumni is really spectacular and is replete with famous faces.

Exams to be honest are the most irritating part because unlike other colleges we have continuous evaluation tests and not just sem exams we have 2 CIA's every semester and then we have the final exam. The CIA's are of 20 marks each and the semester is of 60 that makes it 100 and we follow the GPA system.

The faculty is like a 50-50 not too good not too nasty but it's definitely not the best I can assure you that for sure so I have 2 papers of each subject so if I have one good teacher then one is bad so it balances my marks I guess.
