Remarks

The college is really superb. All the management, staff and teachers are supportive and they do take great care for us. We are very free to talk to any of the teachers or staff there. Awesome wonderful college. MG is really a good experience for any student of this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The curriculum is semester based. Our course consists of 6 semesters. This is actually a wonderful pattern of studying as the stress of studying is reduced and there is only 4 units to study in core and complementary subjects. Students from our college usually attend campus interviews and got placed in industries. The IV's are most often conducted on the end year/semester.

Placement Experience

4

Our many seniors are mostly placed in Wipro, Infosys and other IT companies every year. Iam not well known about the percentage of students placed evey year. The teachers provide extra coaching and provide maximum help for us from the first year itself for the interviews held at third year.

College Events

4.5

We celebrate our college day, tech fests, department wise days, arts day, sports day, etc. All the fests are limited to students of our college itself. Nobody from another college are invited to our college. The department wise days are again limited to students belonging to that particular department, all other fests are entirely for all students of the college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

My program fee is around 5000 per semester without exam fees. The pupils carrying e-grantz scholarship get a breakdown in their fees. The e-grantz scholarship is based on the marks secured in 12th. The scholarship is only availed to students admitted to the college thourough merit list. (not to the students of management quota). The exam fee for student receiving scholarship is always below 100 for every semester.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, the university offers plenty of scholarships. A student can apply for as much as scholarship for they qualify but only one will be approved. The average sum of scholarships provided is 10000 per month. The eligibility criteria is completely based on the marks one secure in 12th and the financial background of family of that student.

Campus Life

4

The college campus is really a good experience that one will never forget in their life. The gender ratios are almost equal. In our class our of 30 students, we have 17 boys and 13 girls. All other departments also has similar ratios. There are students belonging to all types of religion in our college. There is not even a single caste or gender based discrimination in our college. All are treated as equal by the students and also the management and teachers and staffs. Our college has 4 political parties - Students Federation Of India (SFI), Kerala Students Union(KSU), Akhil Bharathiya Vidyaarthi Parishad(ABVP) and Muslim Students Federation (MSF). Elections are conducted every year. There is a Computer lab and a Physics lab. All types of sports are carried out. There is a big library in the heart of our college. The facilities are maximum.

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors and alumnis are superb and really supportive. They provide us their study materials and text for reference. They do share their interview experiences. A simple word or a paragraph would not be enough to express our love for our seniors.

Admission

Iam totally interested in Computer and related works. So I opted Computer science for my higher secondary course and now for my higher studies. I came to know about my college thourough my friend. What made me more interesting is that this is the best college under Kannur University for Computer Science. The admission process is as after our 12th results we can login to the official site of Kannur university and mark our choices ie. course and college with in the time mentioned by them. After completing the registration process the university will put up a trial and first, second and third allotment. As per our name come in any of the allotment, we can either take admission to that college or wait for the next allotment if we want something better. The admission to our college is based on this process and a little percentage of seats are vaccant for pupils joining thourough management quota.

Faculty

4.5

For the first year we have Computer Science, our main subject, the lectures are carried by two teachers, one our Head of department of Computer Science and a teacher, both of them carries a higher degree and great work experience in other universities too. Our complementary courses consists of Mathematics and Statistics, English literature and Hindi/Malayalam (optional). All the teachers carry a degree, PhD and all other degrees from a well reputed universities. Most of the teachers are expertised in various particular topics among their subject.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is almost best. Curriculum doesn't influenced me in deciding this course. Curriculum should add internships. Currently there is no mandatory internship, if students are interested they can do internship during vacations. As we are learning psychology which need to be practiced in real world settings, curriculum must include real world training to help students understand things more effectively. Currently intervel between exams are non existent. Internal exams, then semester exams, you blink once, next internal exams, followed by semester exams. Syllabus is understandable, can learn if you try. Exams are also manageable. Real world examples and stories can be included in teaching methods, as psychology is related to humans and human interaction, to get better grasp of concepts. Rather than focusing on passing exam, should focus on the concepts and understand them in-depth. There are a lot of theories to study by heart. And there are many repetitive topics that overlap, but in different semesters.

I feel in love with mathematics in plus two time. The coursee are more application based when compared to other. Out college being an autonomous college has good grip to keep up to the level of good education. Overall teaching methods and syllabus are very good. Frequency of exams are troublesome during the last time of year because all the programmes like youth festival annual day etc come together

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course is Bsc Biotechnology. It is a research associated course. Its main scope is in research. But in every industry let it be medical or industrial a biotechnologist is required. I would like more practical knowledge than theory knowledge in this course as it is needed to be implemented in labs hands on experience is essential. Exams are conducted every 6 months as semester. Class tests and model exams are conducted frequently. Assignments, projects, seminar ,etc.. are given every month.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose Bsc electronics, it has an attractive curriculum and some of them are influenced me in some way. The facilities are well-known about the curriculum preparing and all. The current curriculum is good but it needs some changes. Include more practicals is one of my suggestion. Teaching methods are good it doesn't need any change. Exams are conducted by Kerala University, so the college can't do anything in main exams but the college will complete all the portions before the exam date it is sure.
