About Co-operative Arts & Science College, Madayi
Co-Operative Arts and Science College, Madayi was formally inaugurated by the former Minister for Education, Sri. T. M. Jacob at the ceremonial function presided over by the former minister for Forest, Sri. K.P.Nooruddin on 21st December 1982. The College was upgraded during 1991- 92 with the B.A Degree course in History. Consequent on the sanction of P. G. Course in History during 1995 -96, college became a post graduate college. In 1996 the college was affiliated to the newly established Kannur University. Another landmark in the history of the college was the starting of B. Com in 1998 and B. A. Malayalam in 1999. In 2001 B. Sc in Mathematics was started. This institution is a boon to the educational backward communities like harijans, fisher men and other sects of North Malabar.

- NCC - The college has a NCC unit which works with objective of improvement of the civic sense and cultivating a sense of discipline and responsibility, development of personality and aptitude for leadership quality of students.
- NSS - Two units of the National Service Scheme are functioning in the college. Health and family welfare programmes, adoption of village etc. are the some of the popular activities of the NSS unit of college.

- The College is situated in the place called madayipara. it is a beautifull place The college is sorrounded with beutifull scenes flowers and grenery.
- The teachers teaching there are well qualified and well trained they teach each and every topics correctly and make sure that the students studies it. They conduct mock test, model exams for the proper preperations for university exams

- There are not much things that is disliked..
- when i joined there the infrastructer was not that good but now its perfect and well built college.

The eligibility of the course is 12th pass from any stream can take admiision ith the college.The admission process are done through online site.The forms are available in the Kannur university admission site. Yes there is reservation for backward caste. The can avail reservation and have prioritu ath the time of admission

Course Curriculum Overview:
The course curriculum is pretty decent. We had 6 semesters and a constant CGPA system was used. We had to maintain a minimum of 75% of attendance otherwise we would get detained in the subject. Then we had to repeat the entire subject in the next semester.
