Review about my college

All i want to say about my college is that it is a pretty decent college if the student has only placement in his/her mind it would be a good choice to join this college but for further studies, there are better Colleges. There's good and peaceful environment.

Course curriculum is good from the second year because then we get to study for what we opted for to get into the college because we are made to study irrelevant subjects in the first year. Exam structure is good we have two minors and a major in a semester.Exams are fair and not at all reasearch driven, it is just how good someone can mug up.Its role in making a better professional- I'll say that how to act calmly under a lot of pressure.

Average to good companies comes for selecting candidates.Placement of my college is good for some branch and bad for some.For eg Fourth year seniors of Computer science branch got 100% placed whereas students of branches like mechanical engineering had some difficulty some went unplaced.Talking about internship, not all the students get them from the on campus companies some go for the off campus internships too.The institute helps only a bit for the placements all it does is just give some advice.Some of the companies that visted our campus were- Microsoft, Amazon, Deloitte and Infosys, Mahindra and Mahindra,Mu-sigma, Reliance manufacturing,tata motors,Jp Morgan,BYJU's,ashok leyland,etc The process of recruitment is such as- the candidate has to prepare a resume and has to give a test for it and after that if selected then they will take interview in 1-2 rounds and an hour round depending on the company.

There are two events that our college holds.First Techniti- the technical event,various events are there such as robo wars, quizzes, cardboard car race, coding competition,etc there's good participations in these event from the college and from other colleges.The fest continues for 3 straight days and on the last day a star night is arranged in which a celebrity is called. Second Utkansh- the cultural event,as this is a cultural fest so the events are dancing competition, fashion show,dj nights.The fest continues for 3 straight days At the end of first two days a famous dj celeb is invited to perform and on the last day a star night is arranged in which a celebrity is called. There's large footfall in this event as students from other college come too.

Being a government college the fee structure is just feasible and relevant as students whose family income is more than 5 lacs have to pay 75000,one having income between 1-5 lacs 31000 and the one having family income less than 1 lakh doesn't have to pay the course fee. The college accepts fee in the form of cheques,cash or online payment or thourough demand drafts.No additional fees is required and there's complete transparency in the fee breakdown everything is shown.

No i didn't opted for any scholarships as i was not eligible for any. All of them are for students family income is less than 1 lakh or are sc/st student,etc all the details about the scholarship can be found in the students corner of our college website nitj.ac.in The scholarship sum provided is about 5000 i guess not sure about that.

Campus life is good, people are good and help each other good places to visit around the college so yeah i'm having a good campus life.Gender ratio would be approximately 2.5 (male to female). Apart from studies there are a lot of extra curricular activities in our college like sports like badminton, basketball, football, etc. there are a lot of clubs for different different activities such as drama club for drama,debate club, photography club,etc

Yes,i opted for the hostel.Rooms are quite fine with proper lighting and mirrors. They are suitable for one student but they make two students to share the room because there are large number of students and less number of rooms. This year hostel for Mtech students were arranged away from the campus.Facilties provided to us are good as every week sweeper comes, we are able to get clean water and good electricity supply and wifi.

Seniors are very good in our college they are really helpful and guide us for our betterment so as we don't do the mistakes they made,they are very friendly and there is no ragging in our college. There is annual alumini meet in our college to talk to our aluminis. I was very confused over what to study and where to study for a topic then a senior reached out to me and told me what to do told me people who are good at this topic, provided links, basically he saved me.

I got admission thourough JEE Mains examination that is conducted all over india and a merit list is then prepared according to ranks and then after the results we have to choose a set of college with the branch on their official website(jeemain.nic.in) and then lock our choices,after that different nit's across india release their seats and ranks at which they are taking in students for different branch. My college starting and ending rank was 6500 and 13000 approx respectively. After getting selected for the college we had to fill some forms and show our identity thourough aadhar card,etc. Admission process takes place in the month of July.

The senior faculty in our college are very knowledgeable and helpful but the new faculty in our doesn't know a thing except a few- they don't know how to teach and how to mark the answer sheets,if the method doesn't follow theirs then they don't give numbers which is highly demotivating, the reason is they mugged up things and taught us and when a smarter student gave a smarter logic than theirs they are not able to understand it and when you try to explain them some of them feel humiliated and say you are wrong.
