Remarks

I have good memories in my life and experiences as it was an adventure ride. There was no atmosphere of learning and whatever you achieve say getting your degree within the stipulated time is a great achievement. As it requires lot of hardwork as your path is derailed at the start and it requires a mamooth effort to get on track by starting to focus by the end or 3r year. There was no management as the college was run by University Syndicate which higly politicised and left treeated it as a revolutionary ideas grooming ground not an educational institution.

Course Curriculum Overview

2

Course is a 4 year semester based academic oriented. The curriculum was good and with good reference books. It has helped in the quality of the information perceived. The faculties were below average and freshers so it was upto us for digging up the information. That helped mainly to improve the grasping power and to face any grim situation. There bare around 54 exams and valuation was strict at the time. Internal marks are given based on petty tests given by the faculty. Their performance measurement means displine and have no value for innovative and unorthodox ideas.

Placement Experience

0.5

Very less to nill. The printing technology department had some placements due to the lack of other colleges offering this course. Other departments have less than 10 placments a year during my tenure.

College Events

1

College union festivals, and inter University tecnofests done on yearly basis different departments in the college. One arts day ans sports day just for namesake. Extra curricular activities were nill and the college or students had no interests in having a good campus environment. All they did was petty politics violence and strikes.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee Structure was that 50 percentage of the seats were reserved for admission from merit list of entrance exam. We had a discounted fees for me total cost was about 50000 ruppes. It will be 4-5 times for the other 50 percentage of students who joined thourough direct interview who were not innthe merit list or was having way too low ranks.

Fees and Financial Aid

No. Tough options for educational loans were available I never took any as my parents paid my tution. Scholarship from government was available for the weaker sections of the society who got reservation seats of scheduled caste and scheduled tribe.

Campus Life

2.5

Campus was ruled by petty left party students wing and there was no proper atmosphere for study. Extracurricular activities were for namesake only. Labs were setup but trained instrctors were not available. Mostly a sports day ans arts daynwill happen. Even though the university nhad funds for programs the left student organisations mismanaged the funds.

Hostel Facilities

1

The men's hostel had only about 90 seats and admission to them was from second year onwards. The mess fee was way too low to provide quality food and the students sufferred. Due to petty politics of left parties nobody allowed to raise the mess fee to a reasonable amont. At my time it was 25 ruppes per day for 3 time meal and evening snacks. The hostel fee were nominal at 58 ruppes per month this resulted in poor maintenance of the infra. Warden was not there to see in men's hostel

Alumni/Alumna

There is just a facebook group other than that I don't think any alumi work exists. Nobody is interested due to politics played by left parties in the college administration. The college is directly under University means itbwas governed by the university syndicate which was of left parties. Basically students union of left parties administered the college. The principal had no say and he resigned.

Admission

After 12th I had to write the KEAM Kerala government engineering and. Medical entrance test and secure a rank to get the admission. Admission happens mainly during July month and classes will commece in August. This entrance exam is highly regarded and is the only way to get in to the most meritorious institutions under the state

Faculty

1

Most of them were below average with no ample experience or knowledge. Thier attitude itself was wrong as they wanted to implement spoon feeding and assessment tests just check your memory power. Not a single creative session was not there for my entire four years.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of the college is very active. You can get internships starting 2nd year and placements starting 3rd year. About 75% of people get placed. Many MNCs like Texas Instruments are consistent hirers. The highest package of 2025 for my course is 1 crpa. The average is about 7 lpa. A student can get 5,6 offers. I plan on higher studies abroad because I want to learn more in-depth about the course.

I chose this course because the curriculum covers key subjects like Python, Machine Learning, Data Science, and Deep Learning right from the early semesters. The inclusion of electives such as IoT, Cloud Computing, and NLP made it future-relevant and versatile.

Placements are really good. Since college is related to ISRO maximum students with cgpa above than 7 are elligible for ISRO interviews and are selected based on their performance. Apart from ISRO many campanies like Texas Instruments, UTS, Mercedez , also come here for recruuitment. Many also opt for M.tech and MBA after graduation

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester and internship from 3rd semester. You can apply for internship on your own right from first semester but college gives aid from 3rd semester. The major recruiter is ISRO which offers 40-45 jobs for aerospace engineering. Also other companies like CDac Airbus Boeing and DRDO and HAL visit for recruitment. Nearly 85-90% students get placed while some opt for Higher education and research too. My primary goal is to get into ISRO also I will be preparing for gate examination to complete my IIT dream.

Reviewed on May 11, 2024(Enrolled 2023)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was never interested in engineering. I passed KEAM entrance exam. So my parents forced me to become an engineer. Since I was interested, I thought food technology might be a good branch in engineering. So I got admission in KUFOS through allotment. The course is actually good . In the 1st year, you study basic engineering, 2nd year onwards food related courses are taught. If you are a student who only have the intention to study you will find this college easy to adjust. They provide all facilities to study. There is no particular frequency for a semester. Even though academic calender is there for each batch it is not followed properly. In this college the course may last upto 4.5 years. Due to this reason the students ask the management to cut shot semester breaks so that they won't loose 1 year.

I only have postive thoughts about that campus. The campus helped me to remove my pre-occupations, inhibitions, fear etc. It gave a lot of memorable moments, large number of friends. The most special thing about the college is those memorable friendships with the faculties whos understand students very well.
