Remarks
The college offered a plain vanilla envelope kind of education that was in vogue in those days. The college management and the faculty deserve praise for the honest, greed-less and yeomen services they provided to the middle class of India to get affordable education.
Entrance Preview
No entrance exam. Admission on the basis of Higher Secondary Marks. In those days proportion of college seats vis a vis number applicant students was better.
Course Curriculum Overview
Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics were main subjects.In Physics there was no further subdivision. In Chemistry Physical Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry and Organic Chemistry classes were held separately. Mathematics also had separate classes for Modern Algebra, Trignometry, Statistic. English language was elective.
Internships Opportunities
No company would come to colleges other than engineering colleges. In those days the Campus Selection was not in much vogue. Generally after finishing college job search had different ways than what is prevalent nowadays.
College Events
Generally we had Sports meets, cultural events and musical festivals. These were fairly large, as even students of other colleges also participated. They were eagerly awaited and full of fun. The spirit of camaraderie and competition was inculcated through these events.
Fees and Financial Aid
While scholarship was offered in those days but not by college, education loans were unheard.
Faculty
All faculty members were masters of what they taught. each of them was unique in teaching style and received attention of students. They were excellent in carried the students with them as they build their lectures from point to point.
