Remarks

College management is a bit orthodox but zi think they should be that way because we are their responsibility. They are fair and studenr friendly. So I don't particularly have any complaints from my management.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Course curriculum is updated with the industry progress. Even minor degree in data science is offered so that students get relevant jobs if they are interested. We have state of art labs and lab equipment. Quality research in collab with ISRO, IISc and DRDO and several foreign organizations go on. No attendance policy gives ample to enhance other skills and it's a no brainer.

Placement Experience

5

Placements in my college are beyond question exceptional. With average package of 16 lakhs in CS department. Companies like Microsoft (40 selects), adobe (12 selects), Altassian, Nutanix, media.net, Amazon, Flipkart, Texas Instruments, oracle, JPMS, JPMC, Nvidia, qualcomm, synopsys, xilinx etc to name a few. All the students who wished to get placed got placed. So percentage would be 100%. Rest who didn't register for the placement cycle had other plans. Yes, we were subjected to a training session involving mock tests, interviews and GD.

College Events

5

Technical fest: ATMOS Cultural fest : Pearl Management fest: Finnovate Literary fest: Verba Maximus Atmos has footfall of around 10 thousand, Pearl has footfall of around 5 thousand and finnovate just started last year with a footfall of 2 thousand.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Our semester fee is around 1 lakh 50 thousand per semester. All the mode of payments except cash is accepted by the administration. No, no extra charges have to be paid It is a completely fair scenario wherein no extra fee is charged just for securing the admission. Yes college is bery transparent in terms of fee breakdown so that is not an issue.

Fees and Financial Aid

No i didn't opt for any scholarship. My college has many scholarships 1. ntse scholars scholarship 2. mcn :merit cum need scholarships to be given to people having less than 8lpa family income 3. Merit : given to top 7 students of each batch, some fee waiver. Scholarships included 15 to 80 % of the tution fee.

Campus Life

5

Gender ratio was around 1:10, female: Male. That is every engineering college in general. Many parties were organized for students. Many students were openly gay, there was extremely high tolerance for people with every sex orientation. You can be asexual, sexually inclined to more than one gender, homo and people would love you for who you are. Every thing, related to castism, reservation to politics had healthy discussions. And there was high tolerance for varied opinions. People respect your opinions.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Yes I opted for hostel. It were single room with excellent ventilation and amenities There was cleaning around very 2 hours. Hygiene measures were taken care of. The atmosphere inside the hostel was extremely good.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is what that Makes BITS standout. Every alumni I have talked to have given me some life changing lesson which proved to be really helpful for me.

Admission

One of the best engineering colleges in India. Amazing peee culture. Excellent placements. Excellent opportunities in industry and amazing senior junior culture. Peer group os very nice owing to no attendance policy and what not. Admission process involves : 1. Scoring 75% and above in board PCM 2. Scoring as high as possible in BITSAT

Faculty

4.5

Number of lectures per course is 40. Faculty is very nice, world class. I had a teacher in my department who is PhD from MIT and has worked at CERN before. The amount of knowledge he had is unparalleled. Average age would be something between 35 to 40 for the professors. All of them are PhDs and are working in their field of interest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like that the course doesn't feel outdated. Along with the regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects, and problem solving so it feels connected to what companies actually expect. As a second year student i already feel like i am building skills that i will be able to use during internships and placements and not just preparing for semester exams

Placement Experience:

No batch has graduated yet so there's no record of placement data yet. But more than 200 students got internships. Also the unique point of NIAT is students gets internships from their 1st year itself. NIAT has connection in the industry also its unique teaching style, this allows 1st year students to get internships. Although there is no pass out batch yet, still many people got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course curriculum is outdated .As im studying in computer science and engineering,i wpuld love to study about technological aspects and grow as a software engineering but in the course curriculam they teach my about mechanical workshops,There were no practical experience it jsut understanding the concept with theoritical part . i would love lo code but my college wastes entire time by helping with electricals, meachanical basics. i dont think is it really necessary for me understand in all the feilds they think that student should perform in all the fields as im in computer science and engineering student ,They should teach me more about coding and computer ,how it industries works and how these technology enhacning ,the arenot even explore about all these sectos they only teaching me about fundametals of all the subjects which is never useful for my studies . as i am in final year of btech i thought learning and deepdiving into computerscience and engineering subjects is more greater than learning all sector fundamentals,The area they need to improve is removing some of the oudated syllabus from their ciricullum and enhcing with the pratical experience not to teach only theoritical part. they have to teach all the areas with realtime examples. The timings of exams is very good .we do have 2 mid exams and one semester final exams for each sem and the subjects feels meduim level difficulty

Placement Experience:

The placements are comparatively more in this college, as there is more industry exposure. Students are eligible for placements from around 3-2 (3rd yr-II sem) to 4-2 (4th yr- II sem). Companies like Amazon, Cognizant, NCR often visit the campus. The highest package offered last year was 1.2 cr (International offer). Around 90% students who were eligible got placement. My plan is to get a decent package after the degree.

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams
