Remarks

It is situated in a good place and near to sonarpur railway station and Kavi Nazrul Metro. So it a good reason to join this college because communication and transportation is easy. But negative is in this fee structure you can get better colleges like HIT, Techno India.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is pretty good enough.it makee us technology acquainted and a good employee for industry. The exam structure is good.we have 2 sems of theory in a year of 70 marks and practical. And also 4 ca of 25 marks.

Placement Experience

The placement cell is good and give us all information related any placement.Job opportunities are also very good. But yes our college does not provide any internship to us.But we can apply outside our college.

College Events

There is 4 major events.Phoenix the official tech fest of our college. Then Sportigo the annual sports meet. Then celluloid for the budding stars and finally Flames the cultural fest of our college. And many intra competitions are also help regularly.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is good as compared to other Colleges in the town. The fee is Rs 80000 for first year, Rs 80000 for second, Rs 82000 for third and Rs 84000 for final year.So it is feasible according to me and many other as per other colleges.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes there is loan facility but i have taken an educational loan from united bank of India and not from college. There are various scholarships awarded to the students for their mertirious results and other issues.

Campus Life

Extracurricular Activities are pretty good here.Labs are also maintained and developed good.Sports is a very important side of our college and our college is very good at There is no ragging in our college.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

i stay in a paying guest and the food is not so good but it is near the college. So many students prefer it rather than other pg.The college does not have its own hostel but has tie up with other paying guests

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni ie very friendly and helpful. They are really interested in the interaction between the students. They visit our college and tells us whats important and also about the industry they work in.It has a great effect in my life because of the seniors.

Admission

I sat for Jee exam and scored 148000 and then sat for wbjee counseling process and got this college via Jee rank.I went to assansol for counseling and from there i went to college for fianl procedure of admission.

Faculty

Faculty is good specially our head of department. He manages us very good and teaches us whats important. The classes are very technology advanced and the teachers give their best to teach us the best.Tha faculty is skilled enough to guide us to our aim.

Likes

Supportive Faculty - The professors are highly qualified, approachable and always willing to help students
Free wifi support - There are free wifi support for both student and faculty
Fee Structure - It is very affordable and low compared to other colleges in the region

Dislikes

Placement support is below average, and most studnets have to apply for off campus jobs independently, which is really pathetic in the era of ai where getting a job as a fresher is so difficult
There is no dedicated support or placment cell initiative to help studnets land meaningful summer internships or any kind of internships

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements starting from the 7th semester. For placement drives, we have to visit the main campus, Techno Main Salt Lake (TMSL). Since students from other Techno India campuses and branches also participate, the competition is extremely high. In the 2025–2026 academic year, fewer companies visited. Only two companies, Dronahost and WishCare, visited our specific campus directly. The remaining drives—mostly service-based companies like TCS and EY, along with a few startups—were conducted at the main campus. The remaining drives mostly service based companies like TCS, EY etc and quite a few startups has visited to main campus. The package they offered mostly in between 3.5lpa - 6 lpa. Furthermore the selection process of those startups is quite rigorous often consisting of upto 5 rounds of interview, two technical rounds with two technical interviews, and HR round My plans after getting the degree is either pursue an MBA or preparing for govt jobs

Campus life: Hype vs Truth

Likes

The discipline is followed very strictly. Also you have access to library which is good, teachers are helpful and no ragging policy which is strictly followed and has a decent environment.
Thery conduct seminars which encourages students. Many faculty members are knowledgeable experienced in their respective subjects and helpful willing to solve doubts beyond the classroom also.
The college has decent infrastucture including classrooms, labs and library .

Dislikes

While the curriculum is decent ,it lacks sufficeint practical implementation.More hands on projects, real world application and industry exposure would improve learning significantly.
Campus life can sometimes fell limited in terms of active student interaction.Opportunites for clubs, networking and collaborative activities could be improved.
The college comes under St tHomas School so the campus is not great it is compact and has a canteen.

Placement Experience:

I heard it from seniors that before lockdown it was pretty decent but after lockdown the company visits are not that much comapred to before lockdown.Cognizent, Accenture, Mindtree, PQ360 which is a startup company of our senior alumni etc. visits.

Dislikes

Labs are not well maintained the machines are very slow

In case of my couse everything is coverd but it would have been much better of they focus on practicals more rather than theory. If they make us aware of all the new technologies that are used in the industry.

Ragging free campus. Strict action are taken against those who found guilty.
Classrooms are well equipped and are spacious.
There are many fun events that happen in the college

Dislikes

The campus area is too small. The library is not good
The societies are fully controlled by students so huge partiality goes on.
Some of the teachers are mean and are not good.

Placement Experience:

From the 3rd year onwards , students become eligible for internships and stepping in 4th yr , students get eligible for campus placement. Techno provides decent campus placements according to your marks. Good marks also with skills get you better salary. Minimum 7.5 cgpa is mandatory to have you sit for campus placements. The lowest package is 3.4 LPA and highest vary but students also get 14LPA easily. Wipro, tcs ,cap ,gemini, amazon , ibm etc.

The teacher's are friendly and helpful. They do provide helpful recommendations for the betterment of your future.

The infrastructure could be worked on. The college lacks renovation.
The hostel does require everyday cleaning and renovation as well as the campus.

FIEM - The Nooks and Corners !

There were few colleges I applied to based on my WBJEE ranks . There was St. thomas college, techno college , heritage , msit and many more . If you know the way of how WBJEE admissions work , you will know we need to give a list of college and they would choose according to our preference and rank . Now according to that , I got this college . Well, if telling why I didn't get applied in other colleges which were much better it was due to my WBJEE rank , which was not that upto mark . Talking about the admission process , its just following the process of WBJEE admissions and on admission day providig the necessary documents needed by the college which will be informed ( or maybe we need to know) . If we talking about cut offs it changes every year so we need to look after it from previous years' cut off list . Also , you need to have atleast a good percent in both ICSE and ISC for admission....Read More
