Remarks

College is good for students if you come to study. But if you come for any other activities your life will be spoiled but overall the college is best for studies and sports. Arts and cultural activities gives you good exposure.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

My course is actually for the first time in the college. I am the first batch student. As usual we were studying basic science for first year. From second year onwards we will mad to study on core subjects. I'm still in first year so I cannot say more about it.

Placement Experience

3.5

Amity offers scholarship for students in Merit list. If you have above 90% in 12 the you will get 50% reduction in fee and if you get 80% in 12 you will get 25 reduction in fees. But only for the first two semesters after that you have to main good CGPA to continue the fee reduction. The placement are very good and students get good exposure also. Companies like IBM, Vipro, Vivo, TCS and some companies came. The highest package for 2019 was 15lacs per annum.

College Events

5

The biggest event is Amiphoria. 3 day event where you can unveil your talents. It gives students good exposure for technical and cultural and sports talents. Sangatan is also conducted which is annual sports meet. Selected students are then send for National level competition. In case of Arts and Sports Amity is Rich.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The college fee for my Course is 200000 per year which is fine is such a big college. But never stay in hostel. Hostel fee is 100000 per year only for staying. You won't get food, or washing machines. For everything you have to pay extra. Better stay in PG or take a flat. Hostet is too expensive while college fee is fine.

Fees and Financial Aid

Amity offers scholarship for students in Merit list. If you have above 90% in 12 the you will get 50% reduction in fee and if you get 80% in 12 you will get 25 reduction in fees. But only for the first two semesters after that you have to main good CGPA to continue the fee reduction. You can also study in education loan. The college will aslo help you in getting education loan.

Campus Life

5

Labs are of best quality and international standards. There are individual labs for each subject. The sports building is there but is currently under construction. But the sports events are there in various other grounds. Sangatan is the annual sports meet. First it is held in local ground then selected students go to Amity Noida to participate. Selected students also get chance to participate in National level competition.

Hostel Facilities

4

I have not opted for hostel. But from my friends I know all about it. The hostel rooms are as AC and Non AC fees is almost same for both. The rooms are shared with 2 in one room. You will get a study table and a bed. You are not even allowed bring iron box and you cannot even dry your clothes. Hostel is very bad with too much restrictions.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni association is present and are well active. Past pupils are invited for function. Well cooperation is there between college and alumini. New batches also get a chance to mingle with alumI to clear their doubts.

Admission

I chose Amity Kolkata because it is the only college in India which offers 5 year integrated course in AI & Robotics. The college infrastructure and facilities are also very good. My admission process was like this first I applied thourough the online portal and uploaded my marksheets and documents. I paid registration fees of 1000. After that I was asked to appear for Amity Jee. But due to my inconvenience I told them I cannot attend the exam in Kolkata. So they made me an offer to attend the exam in my hometown at the same time on same day. It was an online exam.

Faculty

3.5

Most of the professors are highly qualified and holds doctorate. But all cannot teach well. Some are very good and some are worse. But in Amity you should never depend on teachers. You should borrow books and study yourself. This is the best thing you could do.

I’d rate HIT’s placement opportunities as 7.5/10 overall. It’s very good for CSE, IT, and ECE, decent for Electrical and core branches, and improving every year with more companies visiting and better preparation programs. If you’re skilled and consistent — especially in coding, communication, and aptitude — you’ll almost certainly get placed before graduatin

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months
