Remarks

I'm in love with my college. It has help me grow, be who I am today, and I'm proud to be a mirandian. Come around and you'll fall in love with it. Love at first sight happens here, be it the lush green lawns, or the pretty campus, such a beautiful infrastructure or the jolly faces around, each with a unique talent and a curiosity to learn and grow. How can one not fall for it already.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Thouroughout the curriculum, we cover ample of subjects, the variety is huge, from child psychology to basic concepts of education to pedagogy to core subjects to human relations and communications to gender to curriculum studies. Also, the practicums inclusive of story telling, theatre, self development workshops, physical education, and internships (school observation and teaching) - This course covers all of it in the span of 4years which makes it vast, huge but at the same time holistic. The exams are held annually and one has divided weightage of theory as well as practicums in each year respectively.

Placement Experience

4

My college has a placement cell, and one school came thourough the same for recruitment. Besides, our department invited 2 schools for recruitment, but I feel the number of interested and trained candidates is more and the schools that are coming according to that, have less vacancies, so more schools should be invited. Yes, we had internships each year in all 4 years at various MC primary schools in the north delhi zone and some private schools too, in the final year, all of which were arranged by the department, but we didn't get any stipend for the same

College Events

5

Our college holds innumerable events, be it cultural, or in the field of sports, each department and society hold their respective fests and we also have a college fest besides that. We also celebrate various festivals, a diwali mela is organised by nss each year, a Chouristmas fete by north eastern cell, and besides these, national festivals are celebrated with great zeal.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasible, our course is the most expensive one I guess and still thefees ranges from 16000 to 20000 per annum.this is inclusive of all the expenses borne by the college as a part of our curriculum, be it practicums, or a trip to alternate school outside Delhi

Fees and Financial Aid

The school provides annual and semester wise scholarship to the students who perform well in the course and those who cannot afford the fees of the college. College has special arrangements for such cases and runs several schemes and scholarship programs for the same.

Campus Life

5

The labs are really good- vast, well- equipped. We hold ample of programs and workshops ranging on topics such as mental health awareness, LGBTQ, aids awareness, masculinity and femininity, and what not. Our college also has various cells such as internal complaint committee, Gandhi circle, queer pride circle, all promoting and looking after several sensitive issues one must be sensitised about.

Alumni/Alumna

I have been blessed to find friends in my seniors. They've been really helpful thouroughout this course, be it in terms of notes, exam pattern or motivation that we'll do it/ "it'll pass, don't worry". Even after passing out, I've been in touch with few and they're still helping me to gain knowledge of future prospects of this course.

Admission

There was an entrance test for this course, and I wanted to become a teacher, so this was a great option to be considered, it being a professional course. I secured AIR 15 and chose the topmost college of India to pursue my graduation.

Faculty

3.5

Talking about the faculty of my course, I feel they are educated enough, have great content knowledge, but I feel some of them are not good at delivering the content. They know what is to be taught, but the teaching could be better to make it more understandable and comprehensive.

Placement Experience:

Students in B.ed course become eligible to take jobs in the last semester i.e 4th semester. The college does not provide any placement in our course instead students themself have to mail and contact different schools to secure a teching job. Average package a student can expect depends on many factors like their subjects, qualifications and skills. On an average one can expect around 6lpa in private sector. For securing jobs in government schools Students have to clear exams like DSSSB etc where average package ranges from 10 -12 lpa. Many of my seniors are doing jobs in private schools as techers while some teach online and have their you tube channels. I am planning to do masters in English literature from DU to increase my knowledge and job opportunities.

The B.El.Ed. curriculum offers an interdisciplinary approach, blending theory and practice across subjects like Education, Psychology, and Sociology. It emphasizes hands-on teaching experience through internships, where students practice in real classrooms. There's a strong focus on child development, helping future teachers understand diverse learning needs and manage inclusive classrooms effectively.
