Remarks

Not very good but comparing alla yhe colleges under ktu it is a beeter one. Cononation forms are difficult to get signed. One big positive note is that most classes have samsung flip boards which costs about 2 lakhs.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course curriculum is based on ktu University and as you know ktu quality is bad compared to nits and iits.some exams take about teo months to complete which is not that great.dont expect to do grat research from ktu. You cant because no college under ktu has good faculty or the facilities. Exams are very frequent and takes a lot of time to finish. Labs are a joke most lab courses are old and are not updated to match the indistries.

Placement Experience

1.5

Under mechanical brach only 3 or four core companies visit like mrf, eaton, honeywell. Other companies are mostly it related like wipro and tcs.only less than 10 mechanical branch students gets core jobs.others get it jobs.

College Events

1.5

Most college events are not so good in my opinion.main festival is hestia, crescitia.not very good. Only few students participate in these fests very low no of sponsors most of the time there were not fests due to disputes.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee is very less if you get admission via merit. Less than rs 8000 per year plus other college registration fees that adds upto rs 3000. Nri students and management students have to pay a hefty price.

Fees and Financial Aid

You are from minority community like christian and is general and your income is low below 2 lakhs per annum them you can get merit cum means scholarship. You get about 30000 per year but you have to renew it every year.

Hostel Facilities

0.5

Hostel are really really pathetic. All hostels are total shit.hostel charge are about 4500 per month including mess fees. Food in all the hostels except international hostels are pathetic. You can opt for inh hostels at the time of admission or anytime only thing is that you have to pay rs 80000 per year plus mess fees of 4000 per month. They eliminate students based on marks.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumini is quite bad. No alumni returns favours. It acan be seen from placement patterns.in my experience no alumini contacts the college nor is the college is interested in keeping contacts. Nobody gives examples of grreat alumni.

Admission

I got admission since I had 1189 rank in kerala entrance. I took machanical as it gives great opportunity for research in awesome areas. There is no interview. Also you can get admission via management quota but will cost you about 10 lakhs for Btech.

Faculty

2

Most faculties have Phd but most of them have poor knowledge of there subject. Some are very poor in their subjects. Proper knowledgeable teachers are very less. Overall teaching is bad but compared to private colleges under ktu its better. Most faculties are not all interested to teach.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
