Remarks

The good thing about the college is if you are good enough you will have at least 2 to 3 offers after your graduation. There is one request to the college management that since our college campus is very large it can be made to look more beautiful and the

Entrance Preview

I took COMEDK as the entrance test to get into this college. My rank was around 3500 and i got computer science engineering(cse) in sir mvit, bangalore. I chose this stream because the demand of cse graduates are high in bangalore. I chose this college because the placement is very good and some nice companies like amazon, tesco etc visit to college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course structure is based on VTU (visvesvaraya technologocal university) syllabus. It covers basically all the major subjects of respective branches.

Internships Opportunities

Generally companies like Intel,Robert Bosch come for internship in second year and they give a quite good stipend around Rs 15,000 but you will have to be better in various concepts about the topics taught to you and you should be knowing programming languages like c, c++ etc. You should be good at coding as well. But before all that first you should be eligible to participate in the event which will decide you will be getting the chance of internship or not. Companies like Intel have the criteria that you should have aggregate of 80% and above in class 10th,12th as well as engineering till that semester. So you should study hard to get chances of internship in various good companies.

Placement Experience

4.5

Till now in my batch 80% of students have got placed. Companies like amazon, tesco, dell, moonraft, ims health, orbitz worldwide, tcs, wipro, accenture have visited to our college. Amazon provided highest package of 15.5 lakhs. Tesco offered around 7.25 lakhs. Orbitz offered around 6.5 lakhs. Dell & moonraft offered around 5.5 lakhs . The other companies package were around 3.3-3.5 lakhs.

College Events

4

KALANJALI is the biggest techno-cultural fest for the college held in october followed by VERVE which can be considered as an entry platform for various events in kalanjali. This fest contains the participation from various other colleges of bangalore in various events like battle of bands, fashion show etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships are available for students below general castes and mainly for students from karnataka. If you are from any other state then find out whether your state is offering any scholarship to candidates doing engineering outside the state. Loans are easily available from any banks across india.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus life is quite nice. You get to learn many things. The boys are more in number. There are various fields of which you can be a part of Interested students are taught robotics after class hours and you can do various projects on that. If you are good in some sport like cricket,table-tennis etc. You will get a chance of representing your college in VTU tournaments. I myself is the college team captain in table-tennis. There is also a debate society called "DEBSOC" in our college for students who like to speak.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostels are quite good and well in budget. It holds true for the mess food as well. Mess food may not fulfill your expectations but one's get used to it sooner or later. You can rate the mess food 6 out of 10. There are 2 people alloted in a single ro

Alumni/Alumna

On a gap of every 5 years there is always an alumni meet where the pass outs are invited. We get a chance to interact with them and get to know how the college was at their time and what has changed. All the students of sir mvit are linked through a global network. I met an alumni and he helped me with the placement process of various companies and also how to good in interviews which definitely helped me this semester in getting placed.

Faculty

3.5

The faculties are highly qualified and at least everyone has masters degree. Everyone teach their respective courses very well.

Placement Experience:

Placements at RNS Institute of Technology are good. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th or 7th semester. Many companies visit the college, including IT and core companies. Some of the common recruiters include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and a few core companies for EEE. The average package is around 3 to 5 LPA, and higher packages are also offered for top-performing students. The highest package can go much higher depending on the company. Around 70–80% of students get placed, mainly in IT roles. For EEE students, core placements are limited, but there are good opportunities in software roles. The college also provides training and support for placements. After completing my degree, I plan to get placed in a good company and build my career.

Most of the students get placed from the campus placements. Students get eligible for campus placements from the fifth semester. Companies like HP, Infosys, Wipro come for recruiting and make offers from 3L per annum to 30 L per annum. Around 70 percent of the students get placed through campus placement. I plan on working for a dream company after completing my degree.
