Graphic era:doon's college

Postive thing about graphic era hill University is that it's totally ragging free in such a beautiful location. infrastructure is good also the teachers are good. negative points are that the teachers are not experienced. also the VC of hill University is too dizzy type. unnecessary actions rules makes students freak out like once he put up a rule that students should have 90%attendence else they will be debarred.

I did btech with civil engineering as my branch. it was a good and really tough experience to be true. teachers were friendly although lacks experience in teaching. HOD sir were strict but really knowledged person. labs whether FM lab or SOIL lab were well maintained and proper functioning. sometimes we do have to face problems regarding the inaccurate functioning of some machine. but overall it was all good

If you are in IT field like BCA MCA or btech it cs then definately you will be in placement drive,you will be in any company's interview. but for us i. e civil,we didn't got any opportunity. yes 2 3 companies do came but they were just not for us

Best thing about graphic era is it's GRAFEST. ask any graphian what was his her best memory,it will definitely be GRAFEST. Grafest is collection of cultural technical and music festival. top singers of India visits on day one of grafest. on second day another(punjabi basically) top singer come. then on last day a popular DJ makes the students go crazy

There are three graphic Era one is in bhimtal and two in Dehradun in Dehradun the two graphic Era are in Clement town one known as graphic Era deemed university and other the hill university. now i was in hill University and as i am from Uttarakhand so therefore given 25% relief on total fee. so fee structure was high but not that much.

As i have told above if you have domicile of Uttarakhand or resident of uttarakhad you will get 25%discount on fees. also if you belong to sc/st you will get benifit(although i think this is wrong as they belong to much much rich families than ours). they got laptop for free. alao if you are good in studies you will be awarded.

I think boys girls ratio is 60 40. occassional parties do occur like programs of a particular stream. workshop happens almost 2 to 3 times a month. all the students are treated equal whether boy girl foreigner disabled. but yes some (only few)thinks do happen regarding the polical supported students or students with high status

Well if you just visit Clement town you will see graphics building all over the place. hostel are made in almost all the parts of Clement town. once i went into hostel to get notes from my friend. the room was good with basic facilities and he told me that the ward is strict. food was ok ok.

Seniors were like best. they were totally like besties to us. i was not a shy guy but yes a bit introvert but they were so friendly that we use to even spend vacations together. alumnis of graphic were cool and very helpful even they are in touch although they are quiet busy

I live in dehradun and was well known about the college. my friends were there and have told me about the good positive environment. You can apply for the course in which you want to else consultant will be provided to select the suitable course for you. admission in your selected branch in btech is on your 10th,12th merit

Teachers were quite friendly. although they try to be strict but after few lectures they became friendly. but most of the teachers lack experience. they were young and unfamiliar with the vibes of class and students. they, yes tried there best but sometimes fails to point out the course
