Remarks

Overall it is a good experience and very minor inconveniences are present. The infrastructure is good, the labs are well equipped, only the faculties are not very helpful and the extra curricular activities are few.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

Course Structure is outdated and quite obsolete but so is in every college. No emphasis is on research and the schedule is prettt chilled. Exams are although regular and strictness is observed. Hectic days are rare.

Placement Experience

1.5

No, internships are not at all provided by our college and neither it supports us to get one. Placement scenario is also very poor in our college. No major companies visit here and the placement percentage is very low.

College Events

1.5

A very few cultural and technical events takes place in our college in an academic year. There is this annual techno-cultural fest but apart from that there are very few events, conferences or workshops maybe.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee Structure is very feasible and affordable, the hostel fee is also very low and can easily be afforded. The infrastructure is good provided the kind of fee structure fee have. It is very affordable.

Fees and Financial Aid

No there is no scholarship or loan facility provided by our college. Although i have opted for a personal educational loan from a bank. There isn't any kind of waiver provided directly by college, although government has such scheme for less privileged students.

Campus Life

3.5

Extra curricular activities are very rare and not much focus is given. Gender ratio is wide and uneven, student parties are frequent, no particular cultural society, but also no racism based on any criteria is prevalent.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Yes I have opted for hostel, the infrastructure is good as it is recently built, i have a 3 sharing option which is the minimum one has to opt for. Although hostel seats are few and might cause shortage sometimes.

Alumni/Alumna

No there is no alumni network yet although they are trying to build one. Basically the seniors are helpful and guide you along the way by providing you necessary material as well. They can prove to be helpful if approached appropriately.

Admission

First had to give JEE MAINS exam, then based on its cut off list I got admission through various rounds of counseling finally getting in spot round. Its based on merit list, different streams are given based on your score.

Faculty

2

Faculties are moderately qualified but not very interested. They always try to avoid going the extra mile and no extra effort is seen from there side. They just get by doing the bare minimum. Not much interest in teaching

Course Curriculum Overview:

The exams schedule is fairly regular with internals, sessionals and end semester exams. While the frequency keeps us engaged with studies , it sometimes feels overwhelming when multi assessment are close together . The difficulty level of exams is moderate - neither too easy nor extremely thought . With proper preparation and understanding of the concepts taught in class , the exams are manageable.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement are quite bad as only a few companies come to our college for placement drive . Students becomes eligible for campus placement from the 3rd year onwards . Companies visited like TCS , HCL and some other not much popular companies visited but this year placement is very low . Our college also fake advertising about the placement they advertise the interships also as placements. 10 to 20 percent in BTech CSE are getting only Placement. I don't know what I will do after getting degree but currently I am doing a side by side diploma from IIT Roorkee to get some extra knowledge and skill improvement for better placements.

Infy, Techno India, Brumha and many as techies are required all over. From a watchmaker to salt maker without a techie a business can't grow big. So, even though there are 500+ CSE students still 75 percent or so get placed easily from our campus.

My plan is simple that I will do my best to get placed in a top IT company which GEU students in general do get placed at. Adobe, Microsoft and likewise all the biggest IT names operational get placements. Highest placements at GEU is around 94 lakhs and getting placed at 50 LPA or such dream packages from here is not a deal one can miss on if they have it in them.
