Remarks
It's very clean in compare to other colleges. There is regular cleaning of whole campus and hospital by staff workers. There is weekly spraying of insecticides in zonal area in months of dengue. The accommodation facility is too good. The hostel's room are good and well equipped. There is lift too. The surrounding environment of the campus is even good. All the requirements of daily needs can be get nearby.
Course Curriculum Overview
The mbbs course is of five and a half years which is divided into 1st professional mbbs,2nd professional mbbs,3rd professional mbbs part 1 and part 2. This is followed by an internship of 1year after which you get mbbs degree. There are total 9 semsters in the course and 4 University exams. Each exam has theory and practicals.
Placement Experience
The internship is for 1 year and is included in our mbbs course in which we are posted in different clinical departments for some days. During this one learns to apply his or her clinical knowledge on the patients. The intern gets to learn do many things under the seniors.
College Events
Our college lies in the heart of Kolkata and is one of the best colleges in India. Every year fest is organised by the students of the college in which singers,bands come and make us entertain. In the same different competitive events are organised like dance, singing,quiz, fashion show games etc are held. Every year foundation day of ur college is celebrated in which cultural shows are organised and meritorious students are felicitated.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure of the college is not expensive as it's a government college. The fees for one semester of mbbs curriculum is Rs 4500. Hence for 9 semsters the total amount is RS 41500. There is admission fees of 1000 only while admission. The hostel fees is very cheap of just RS 12 per month. There is separate fees for University exam per year which is in range of Rs 3000 -Rs 4000
Fees and Financial Aid
Although I have not availed any scholarships or loan from the college but according to my batch mates there is scholarships for the minorities especially Muslim. they avail scholarships too many but it's given by the government.
Campus Life
The gender ratio of our college is properly balanced as for example in my batch in 159 students 80 are boys and 70 are girls. so it's balanced. The students parties is nothing here except for group parties. The students come from different castes, background,areas and even states. In our college many educational seminars are organised for students or postgraduates to furnish our skills
Hostel Facilities
Yes I have opted for hostel as I have come from different state. The hostel is good provided with lift. The hostel is provided with good facilities like fire control system,cameras in each floor,24hrs water supply,and a canteen. There is a security guard too. Every day there is cleaning in each and every floor and of toilet too.
Alumni/Alumna
Our college seniors are very helpful. They help u whenever u want. They will give u books,help you in the different problems whether it's related to academics or any other matter. you can friendly talk to them and share ur views. Even in the hospital wards they help us and teaches u in the best possible way.
Admission
First of all I have an entrance exam to secure a rank and on the basis of which I got this college,after which then I came here and submitted the required documents like class 12 result, migration certificate, allotment letter, caste certificate,and others. After which I got admitted
Faculty
The teachers present in our college are well qualified. The professors related to clinical subjects are well known for their contribution in Medical field. They have a good teaching ability and clear doubts of students. They teaches by making presentation. They also give us good clinical skills and idea to practice.
