Remarks
The college lacks the speed of development which should be optimal at current time considering it to be one of the prestigious college in India. There should be developed infrastructure and feedbacks should be implemented. College should have a bigger enough gymkahan with proper facility of Ventilation and Lights and Boards for playing. College needs to increase it's strength of Hostel students it's very low presently as low as 100 students for first year and that makes students from different cities worried about the stay and have to search for P. G or flats.
Course Curriculum Overview
As I'm a first year student they provide all the branches of first year with same syllabus and from Second year we are introduced to the core subjects and taught the same. Labs are compulsory. lectures don't leave you chilled as they are a lot in number except if you bunk. The workload increases if you don't keep in pace with what the professor teaches and it affects the grades in the Semester exams.
Placement Experience
Our college provides the best placements. Students are places with whopping CTC of about 50 lakhs but yes there aren't much of such students it's the reality of every prestigious Engineering college. But almost all of them are places with an average package ranging about 7-8 lpa but also your branch matters regarding the package you get not every civil student gets the package same as every Computer or IT student has got.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is about 85K per annum comprising of Admission fees, tuition fees, other fees and exam fees. There are various types of scholarship offered which may reduce the total fees to be paid. Students of SC ST OBC category have to apply for Post matric Scholarship to get their fees subsidized and there is no such provision for students of OPEN category. But there are some private scholarship which are quite good.
Fees and Financial Aid
The post matric freeship Scholarship for the SC ST students subsidized the fees of students upto as low as 10%. OBC students get a 50% discount in tuition fees. There is the Schindler Scholarship interview for student from Electronics and electrical branches and those who are selected need to pay zero fees. There are Hostel Scholarships also.
Campus Life
Labs are good but lack improvement with time period most of the equipment are old and give a lot of errors when experiment are performed but all sorts of equipment are available in every type of labs. For sports there is Cricket ground, Football ground, Volleyball ground, Basketball courts, Gymkhana which contains Carrom boards, Chess boards and Table tennis. The college lacks in providing a Badminton courts and a swimming pool.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes, the alumni are very much helpful they will advice you whenever you need them. There is a separate alumni ambassador association which bridges the students and alumni. Alumni also has contributed for the infrastructure of the college and have installed much developed classrooms for studies. Also there will be official alumni meets in the month of January every year.
Admission
Admission procedure is based completely through the Maharashtra's CAP round process conducted by MAH CET CELL. Electronics is the branch whose applications are seen everywhere that's why I chose it. After completing the MHT CET exam the CET cell starts the admission process in the month of July which is based on state merit rank and that is calculated on the basis of Percentile you have got in CET exam.
Faculty
Faculty is Okay not best at par regarding all the subject some of them are good some of them are excellent and rest are those who just read the slides and ain't making the concept interesting. There is option to give grievance about any faculty you have problem with but they won't change it unless they have any available substitute for that course. Faculty could be better it needs improvement at present level but all of them are excellent in their degrees but not in their teachings.
