Pondicherry University is an excellent Central University with its best aspect being the location on the beach front. I enjoyed my tenure of study at the university with a whole lot of exposure in various departments through friends in other departments a

Pondicherry University Entrance Examination. I qualified the entrance. Don't recollect the score. After written examination a group discussion followed by personal interview. Wanted to be in a Central University.

No internship or stipend for PG courses. The most reputed MNCs would visit the University during Placement. Placement was organised in the beginning of fifth semester.

Very good placement service. All students who passed out from 1997 to 1999 were well placed in the industry with excellent pay packets. I joined Indian Armed Forces despite being placed in a reputed MNC,so I didn't track the pay packets subsequently.

PIXEL is the literary festival being organised by Dept of Computer Science. There were other literary festivals organised by the other Schools,Departments. All major and premier colleges and universities from across India are invited for the various literary festivals.

Fee is feasible. I really don't recollect the precise figures but I guess it was about Rs 1,500 per semester.

No idea. Never tried so not aware. I had friends who had however taken educational loans from banks.

The campus life was cool and good. Had a very good time. There were no issues regarding gender,racial,ethnicity,region,religion or economic status. There were international students who had taken admission and there were some student exchange programme based students also. Pretty good University with an excellent campus life.

Hostel was good but the quality of food was just about edible. Hostel rooms were designed to cater two students per room. The dining hall had sufficient seating capacity. The charges were quite reasonable though the quality of food was not upto the mark.

Well we were closely knit during the university days and still get together once in a while either on professional need or for pleasure meets. Alumni exists and I keep getting invites every year but since I am in the Indian Armed Forces,I find it difficult to match the dates despite good attempts from my end.

Upto the individual student. However there were frequent quizzes,assignments,projects end semester examinations some in an open book format.

Upto the mark and the required standards. The Profs and faculty had a forward thinking agenda and motivated the students and provided a challenging environment.
