What Students Say

Likes

Faculties, Atmosphere and Infrastructure. New labs and a very large grounds which can be used for our benefits and improvements
The knowledgable professors who were ready to spend extra care for each students
A variety of events which are held every now and then inside PU

Dislikes

Marking System CSBS in which the overall scores depends upon the whole classes average
Strict checking while entering the University and mandatory ID rule
No enough time to develop our skills as we would be engaged with homeworks and daily routine

Course Curriculum Overview

Curriculum is bit old till 2024 batch. But now th enew NEP policy has came and the entire syllabus have been changed according to the recent requirements in the job market. But it is comparatively tougher than the old syllabus which makes it difficult for students to cope up with.

Class Size: 73Course Fees: INR 80000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Merit Scholarship for the top 3 students of each course in each semester. And several other scholarships are available based on caste reservation and financial backward students upon submission of correct proofs to support them.

Campus Life

There are many functions and events held. In our department we had the Recursion which is an event organized for all the colleges from Pondicherry for 4 days and it went well. There are department wise events, and flashmobs too.

Admission

I got admission into NIT Trichy for MBA and Zoho Schools. But I preferred this college as it was the best in Pondicherry and placements were really good at that time. But by the time I completed the course, everything became upside down.

Faculty

1 faculty for the entire class of 70 students approximately. Kuppusamy sir was our favourite since his classes were based on real time approaches and exams were also based on real life applications. 4 semeters and almost 10 students will be failing in each semester totally in all papers.

Placement Experience:

All students are placed in different companies in good packages. TCS, Infosys, cogoinzt and the best companies all are visited in my college and the highest package is 24LPA and the average package is 4.5LPA. 60% above getting placement.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chosen this course to improve my programming skills and find a good job in the development field. The faculty has enough teachers. The professors are good and help the students understand the concept in easy ways. Exams are conducted very often which improves the students understanding and score high in university exams.

Remarks:

Remarks:

Administration is not good enough moat cases they fail to solve students needs Like night canteen wifi bandwidth isssues. The transportation inside is also not good most times buses wont come at time. The gtaetest positove thought about PU os the greenary they keep our campus neet and green daily watering plants garden lots of trees on both sides of the road etc Our campus feels like home.

Very green campus. And clean environment. All students are enjoying. As well as studying. All faculty members are good. All department are good. There are approx 12 hostel. All campus are wifi. Very good facilities.

Pondicherry University is recognised by the UGC and is accredited with an grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
