It's completely positive the College is growing exponentially. In nearly it would be standing at par with NIT Trichy surathkal I would say anyone who joins this College now will grab their degree from the one of the oldest and grandest College of India.
Course Curriculum Overview
Good but not great focus a bit more on coding and exposure to other Colleges. 0labs are great and classes are too good but I think the easy subject professor is not that good as core subject professors.
Placement Experience
Great the placement chart is increasing year by year good command has also started to come in like Microsoft Google the only apple is left yes internships are available from private and government LIKE MSME, Microsoft Amazon.
College Events
Instrou the largest tech fest of Kolkata only seconded by that of IIT kgp in West Bengal comprises gaming such as csgo, Dota, pubg, and so many others also includes robot war coding competition. Rebecca's largest vital and dance great of Kolkata, literally the best I have ever seen in my life.
Fee Structure And Facilities
It's normal not too expensive but not even the feasible cost for everyone. But in most cases, students like OBSMC, SC, ST, PWD front even have to pay the fees the only strained on are non-ews general section.
Fees and Financial Aid
Based on gp in 1st and second semester, loans are also available, cast based scholarship available the overall system if fees are good and non-hectic many students don't have to pay fees scholarship only.
Campus Life
The gender ratio is slightly better than other engineering govt Colleges, now talking about events is event are as great as that of any IIT be techno fest, recca, knockout. The College gives chance to all the 1st years to establish themselves at many fields.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel infrastructure is good the facility is a nice washing machine that is available on alternate floors the only thing about the hostel is a room is accompanied by 4 roommates.
Alumni/Alumna
Oh yes, they are very helpful and keep donating a healthy amount of amount every month there was a 1st-year grad suffering from cancer he git help from alumni and other support of students and alumnus the College she was very helpful.
Admission
Joint entrance examination mains. I chose this course because it opens up a lot of career options such as IAS IES Government jobs related to Civil Engineer and there is always a backup option of going with the placement.
Faculty
Very good, know what they are teaching. The best part is core professors aa so good they leave no doubt bit some professors are not that good and some don't focus on discipline.
