Positive Remarks:- 1.Cheap food in canteen 2.Chilled out time table not hectic 3.Library is very good. 4.Labs are good 5.Fees is feasible Negative Remarks:- 1.Teachers are average. 2.Very little placements for Non-Commerce students.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

Course Curriculum focuses on Physics-Chemistry-Maths and one extra subject (changes every semester). It has theory examinations and Lab Practicals.Focus on research is not that great.2 Labs are held once a week for Chemistry and Physics each.It is chilled doesn't become hectic.

Placement Experience

2.5

Placement and Job opportunities are for Commerce students mostly and Students of honours courses get jobs most of the time. But there are lots of internship which are for students from all courses. Most internships have a little stipend which can help students in daily chores.

College Events

2.5

Freshers(in September) and Fest (in February) are also organised and huge number of students participate in these events. Various Gaming events and Hack-a-thons are organised so that students having interest in any of the fields can participate.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees is feasible for students coming from lower middle class households. Around 8000 to 13000 per year depending on the course. Students from low-income households are given fee concession by the college authorities by filling a fee concession form.

Fees and Financial Aid

college offers Fee Concession to students coming from low-income households. If one comes from low-income family,he is required to fill a form and then go through a small set of questions. Then they are ordered Fee Concession upto 50 percent. My fees for 2nd year was 11000 but after applying for Fee Concession it came down to 6000.

Campus Life

2.5

college has societies for Co-Scholastic activities. college has Dance Society,Music Society,English Debating Society and Fashion Society and events related to these societies are organized on a regular basis. Newcomers have to clear an audition for joining respective society.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

There are PGs available near the college at walking distance (Satya Niketan and Basant Village) Monthly Charge for PG ranges from 8000 to 12000 depending on the facilities like AC and Wifi.A room is shared between two tenants. Electricity bill is also collected separately depending on the usage at 10 rs per kW of electricity used.Food is charged separately for 3000 per month. One can opt for Meal Providers like dabbawala etc.

Alumni/Alumna

Senior Students are helpful. On the admission day there are senior students available in college which help new students go through admission process. After admission they guide us though the course and they often tell us about internships and other events.

Admission

Students are required to fill admission form in the month of May after 12th boards.college Releases its cut-off in the month of June. One can ask for admission in college if he has achieved the required number of marks in class 12 for respective course for graduation.Copy of Admission form,12th and 10th marksheets, character certificate is required at the time of admission. I choose BSc Physical Science because one can opt for Masters in any of Physics,Chemistry and Maths after graduation. Also cut-off is low for this course as compared to Honours.

Faculty

2.5

Teachers are qualified but they are not that energetic while teaching.Have to self-study a lot.Still there are some good teachers who dedicate themselves while teaching. Physics teachers are below average.

Placement Experience:

Placements usually start after the second semester. A variety of companies like Byjus, Namo India, Urban Calp, ICICI, DE Shaw, Oberoi groups, ABP news, Thomas Reuters, Microsoft, etc. visit the campus every year. More than 200 offers for jobs are made every year and a lot more for internships. Packages for jobs offered vary from 2,00,000-12,00,000 rupees. The campus placement cell informs the students of the jobs offered and the packages. About 10 students out of 50 take up the placement rest from the chemistry honours course goes for higher studies for the preparation of civil services.

College overall management is very good, helpful and supportive. All queries and concern are addressed on priority basis. All announcement and activities communicated timely. College staffs, professors and management are really very helpful and supportive. My experience was very good however i would request admin to expand and communicate their sports level program so that maximum students can participate, grow and their hidden talent can come out by these opportunities.

Remarks:

The college management surprisingly, truth be told, is very quick in their work. You would normally expect things to take their usual bureaucratic/government time to work but it really doesn't here. Apart from the minor hiccups one can get when one is made to run between departments to get some stuff sorted, it is overall really good. The 'running here and there' too in my opinion is important as it prepares us for the outside world. The world isn't all good and with rainbows and unicorns flying around. A whole lot of people exist and we need to learn to cooperate, tackle, take things in our stride and learn to just let minor things go. College prepares you for that.
