Good placement record but curriculum could be improved

Only the faculty and curriculum could be improved. Rest the placement and other opportunities are good.

In the first year, we mainly learn the subjects chemistry, physics, mathematics which were also in +2. The main curriculum of our branch started in the second year. The languages like C, CPP, Java and core subjects like data structures, database management systems,cloud computing, data analysis and algorithm, software management were useful in placements. But for placements, you have to put on an extra effort by coding on platforms like geeks for geeks, interview bit.

This year top companies visited our college for placements like Microsoft, Adobe, Amazon, DE Shaw, college Dunia, Publicis sapient, Deloitte, Capgemini and many more. Mainly the companies have two kinds of interview rounds- technical and HR. Prior to interviews, there is a preliminary round in which coding and aptitude questions are generally asked. More than 90-95% of eligible students got placement every year.

The two mega fests are utkansh-the 3 day cultural festival and TechNiti - 3-day technical festival. In these mega fests, we have a footfall of around 5000 + from all across India and mainly northern states. Other than utkansh and technician throughout the entire year all the festivals are celebrated with enthusiasm like Republic Day, Independence Day, a whole week devoted to Gandhi Jayanti, Kai Po Che on Basant Panchami, Utkansh Premier League- A special cricket event as perfect to Utkansh and many more.

The fee structure is totally feasible as they are a fee charged on an income basis. The normal fee charges are 145000/annum. If the student's family income lies between 1-5 lakh, then the fee charged is 61000/annum approximately. If the student family income is less than 1 lakh then his/her tuition fee is totally waived off and if the student is SC-ST then also his/ her tuition fees totally waived off.

College provides a number of scholarship opportunities or study loan for students. In first year the scholarship criteria is is your +2 percentage and and then in further years scholarship is provided on the basis of your CGPA. Average amount of scholarship is 10000 per annum.

Campus life is good. The gender ratio vary from branch to branch. As mechanical branch there are mostly 3-4 girls and rest are boys. But in other branches gender ratio is like 30% girls. For debates our college has literacy and debating club society, also abbreviated as LADC.

Hostel facilities are good but the hostel mess is not up to the mark but the hostel mess varies from hostel to hostel. The hostel staff is very cooperative if you have any kind of issue you can share with them. In first-year rooms are 4 seater In the second year rooms are two-seater In third and final year rooms are single-seater

Our college seniors are very great and alumni is also helpful. College seniors guide us from time to time regarding internship placements and campus life.

Actually first I got Electronics and communication in this institute but later on, I got upgraded to computer science and engineering branch on the basis of CGPA in the first year. I choose this institute because of its NIT tag and it was closer to my home. Admission procedure in based on preference filled in josaa counselling.

We have approximately 20 hours of lectures per week including labs. Most of the teachers are ph.D. qualified but some of the Adhoc faculty have done only Master's or M.Tech. The lectures didn't hold much industry experience or certification. For industry experience extra workshops or certified courses organized by our department.
