My second college

The placement of the students is very low as a few companies visit. Transportation is a big negative point as the commutation takes upto 4 hours daily. The positive point is that the teachers support us in any way possible and encourages us to never give up.

The course "B.tech" is good as of my knowledge and understanding and i think Excel in it. The exam structure was difficult to understand. Our exam structure for one subject includes of total 100 marks, where 25 marks are based on the performance on academics throughout the semester where a test or sessional is taken in middle of the semester which is of 30 marks converted into 15 marks and the remaining 10 marks are performance based throughout the semester (25=15+10). And rest of the marks (100-25= 75 ) are theory based. Where an exam is taken at end of the semester in a different college but same university.

Placement is the part where it lacks so much as our college is located in a faraway zone where the medium of transportation is Buses(no metros).No, Our college do not provide internship. Some of my friends introduced our college students to some companies to get placed. Our principal is also trying to make us get placed by sending our resume to different companies.

Our college celebrates Annual Day, sports Day, Indian Republic Day, Indian Independence Day and many more. And also our college supports us by refunding exam fees on completing NPTEL online course. And also our college conducts a event yearly for a week where all the students and some of faculty members join us in different sports, e-sports, Dances, Singing and any other activities. It is yearly celebrated as "ENKELEVEN".

My college fee structure consists of Tuition fees of ?20,500 and a university fee of ?17, 500. A total of ?38,000 annually. This is quite expensive. The fee was ?35,000 before i got admitted but it increased after i joined in 2017.

Our college has multiple scholarship programs for the students, where students can obtain Merit-based Scholarship or they can apply for EWS scholarship. National Scholarship Portal(NSP) is portal for students where students can avail scholarship from government programs. And the students can apply for Student Loan with low interest rates but our does not provides it.

We have a sports room where the students as well as teachers can obtain sports Material for playing once in while, and the Labs are well maintained by assistant professors. Our college has 3 computer labs, one chemistry lab, one Cementing lab, one physics lab and one Electronics and Communications lab. We have all the necessary materials required for the course in our labs. And in sports we can play volleyball, basketball, cricket, badminton, table-tennis.

We don't have such a strong network among us juniors and seniors as i am a final year student, but we do help our juniors in any way possible and we sometimes play cricket together. Our seniors also also helped us giving their in teaching us Python and Android in their final year.

I had completed my 3-years diploma in Computer Engineering. But then i decided to do a Bachelor's Degree in IT only if i get admitted to a Government College. And i was lucky enough to get admitted. The admission process was quite simple where we had Register at "IPU" university's site to take admission in the course of choice and secure a lower rank in entrance exam for the course, where only a few students were admitted according to their rank in Entrance exam. And luckily i had obtained a lower rank to get admitted to the college of my choice

Our faculty of college are good people they always try to help us in any way possible. Specially our HOD. He always encourages us to try our best. Our college faculty sometimes introduce us to new programming languages and other different courses free of cost as to increase the number of our skills.
