- Highly qualified teacher and lab's working staff.
- Good classroom with centralised AC. Library is well maintained.
Dislikes
- No hostel facility. There should hostel facility for the outside students for west campus
- Teachers make it hectic by taking extra classes.
- As it is nearly at Delhi's boarder so many students find it difficult to travel to college daily as it takes 2 hr approximately and hostels are a must
Course Curriculum Overview
I as I am studying civil engineering so for my branch till now the syllabus covered is fully relevant for the government exams for the preparation of the exams like gate and ssc jee. There are few things which might be not useful but may help some or the other way. Teachers have taught each and every subject which is there in civil engineering till now.
Internships Opportunities
Our hod brings many internship opportunities for us. Even paid internship are also there. Most of them are government internships. Some are of NPC. There have been almost 5 to 6 intership opportunities that we have got till now which is a good number.
Placement Experience
Form 7th sem we are eligible for the placements. Companies visited are LnT, Maruti Suzuki, Oyo, black rock, Amazon, sprinkler, Google, Microsoft, Mahindra, Tata average package is of 6 lakhs per annum and highest package has been of 3 cr , 1.5 cr. As I wanted a government job so I would prepare for the exams like ssc jee, gate , DSSSB and many more
Fees and Financial Aid
Student can take scholarships. There are different schemes available. There is scholarship for ews students. Student can avail for student loan. The fees when I got addmission was 206000 but it has increased by 10% each year. As it's a government college fees should be reduced as it's difficult for people to pay it.
Campus Life
Fests are held 2 times in a year March and October. Moksha is held in March and resonance in October. Library has almost all the books required by the students. Fir the following department btech mtech PhD. The sports is also a part of a college which students sees before taking addmission. The sports facilities are not good at nsut west campus. Only cricket and football can be played but the ground is not well maintained which make it difficult. Sports equipments are also very limited and are out of stock mostly.
Admission
Counseling is done by jac and the process is carried out very smoothly. The student should be careful while reading the notification released by the jac.The student having reservation benefits must have their certificates ready otherwise they might lose their seat to someone having less marks. Jee mains is conducted 2 times in a year January and April. Addmission in Nsut is done on the marks obtained in jee mains .
Faculty
Most of the teachers have done their PhD from iits nits. With a good experience of teaching. We can easily interact with the teachers there are no such rules. As there are not many students each and every student gets good attention from the teacher. The lab faculties are also well trained. The lab experiment are taken regularly. Extra classes are also taken and sometimes online classes are taken so that students having any doubt can interact with teachers and clear his or her doubts.
