Remarks

The college was really good. Top 1 in maharashtra. But one has to grab opportunities to develop one self. The college will not come to you. You have to take the first step.

Entrance Preview

I score 87% in hsc examination after which i admission in hr college. BBI has the minimum cutoff. If you are planning to take up some other degree course then you must have 90% in you hsc.

Internships Opportunities

Hr is the only college in mumbai which encourages its students to do an internship which helps us make our cv strong. Infact it is mandatory for every student to do an internship in the first or second year. The college has a placement cell which invites different companies to pick up students for internship/jobs.

Placement Experience

5

The placements were really good. More than 30 companies came in. Some of them were kpmg, jll, axis, nomura, icici bank etc. All of them were giving an package in the range of 2-3lakhs.Nomura was the highest paying company offering a package of 6lakhs pa.

College Events

5

The list of events is never ending. Hr fest is one of the happening events but sadly other college students are not allowed. It is only for hrites. There are cultural events like celebration of shravan for which guests like abhijeet sawant come. Also there is bazaar in which its like a sale.Students cell different things and also games are conducted. The list just goes on you must be an hrite to experience all of these.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is fair enough. The college chargers laboratory fees but in my entire 3 yrs i never saw a laboratory in college. You may say how is it possible but let me tell you there is a computer lab for which we are charged separately. So basically there is a 'computer lab' fee plus a 'laboratory' fee which is a mystery.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have no idea about this part. But there were summer school programs like kings college summer school for which students were charged 25k per subject but there were students who availed the scholarship and got it for around 5k per subject (this was completely given on the basis of your academic performance).

Campus Life

3.5

As i mentioned,hr helps those who help themselves. The number of opportunities is huge. But you have to take the initiative to participate. There were inter college debates. There were programs which were held at the international level but one has to be excellent to stand a chance to participate in them.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

As i am a localite i have no idea about the hostel. But the canteen is really good.

Alumni/Alumna

the seniors were really helpful. the were like role models. the helped us during exams, events, placements, competitions etc. they even showed us loop holes to get through problems. ;-)

Exam Structure

Exams are chilled in the first year. The professors give you markings so there is limited stuff to study but it gets hectic in ther second and third year. One has to study the entire book. A big fat book for every subject in the third year which is the bo

Faculty

4.5

BBI is a very dull course but its not the college's fault. It is the mumbai university who has designed it that way. The faculty tried their level best to make it interesting. We had the best of faculty. All of them had a corporate background which helped

Course Curriculum Overview:

One of the key aspects of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the B.Com course at Sydenham College was its strong foundation in core commerce subjects such as Accounting, Economics, Business Law, and Finance. The structured progression from basic to advanced concepts, along with exposure to subjects like taxation and auditing, made the program particularly appealing for students aiming for careers in finance, CA, CS, or management.

De Shaw, and Bain Capital are among the biggest companies and lighter companies are also many. Visa and all are also there which are rare otherwise. For b.com though 30-40k is what is offered but I feel it's fair enough.

Placement Experience:

Placements society of college is just a decade old and still top companies like Zues Capital, Barclays, and Icici bank are among the top colleges that have become a part of ecosystem where 30-40 students is what each companies hires every year. Not many though as too many sections and 500+ students means getting placed even half the students can be a task where Mithibai placement percentage is 60 odd percentage.

Placement Experience:

Impeccable, amazing and unbelievable are the placements here. For B.Com which is as always a crowded college, making sure 60-70% students have placements through campus is a task not less than climbing everest. So definitely all I can say is our college has done so well that it is now the first choice college for commerce not just among Mumbaikars but overall as well.
