Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is industry updated and gets changed every 5 years. The question in exams are mostly concepts based. The extremely strict guard are given by the invigilators. There are elective subjects which the students are free to choose.
Placement Experience
The engineering placements are comparable to the placements of the top IITs. Near about 90% students get placed. The University provides internship and also give them pre placement offers. A few of the students have done their internship in foreign companies.
College Events
Apart from the cultural fests like "Sanskriti " which is celebrated by engineering, arts and science, there are sports fest, quizzes, freshers of individual departments as well as departmental fests.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees are extremely low and affordable even by BPL. The exam fees of every semester is as low as ? 50. The semester fee for Masters of engineering student by GATE admission are as low as ? 2500. That to, they get a monthly scholarship of ?12400. So the cost of studying and other expenses will be feasible.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are many scholarship schemes like PG GATE scholarship, RUSA, etc. As the University is a state University, the semester fees of the University is very low and affordable by peopl from BPL category. So student loan is not required if you are studying in science arts or engineering fields.
Campus Life
The labs are well equipped with the state of the art machines and devices. The University encourages to perform in extracurricular activities. The teachers and professor are very understanding in this matter.
Alumni/Alumna
JU has a very strong alumni base. The alumni tend to draw the junior and passouts to their respective places and help them out. The seniors are very friendly and altruistic. They will mix with you like a friend no matter how old they are.
Admission
I got my admission for masters degree by submitting GATE results. My admission was based on the GATE score. They released the form in the end of May. I applied by submitting the GATE score card along with other results of my UG, class 12 and class 10. I was selected on merit basis.
Faculty
One of the best faculties in india. Most of them have their PhDs from IIT and their Post Docs from abroad. Some have their PhDs from abroad. Yet they are humble enough to explain any topic to you patiently even if you ask the silliest question for the 100th time.
