Remarks

Postive things for my M.Tech department is here the faculties are very good.the labs are ok. We have got the chance to explore ourselves. Negative thing I wanna tell you for the sack of our department that university will not allow us with more space.this department badly need more space for their students betterment

Course Curriculum Overview

This course is totally unique compare to others. It's a interdisciplinary department ,. So students have come here from various UG stream like civil, biotechnology, chemical etc.the syllabus of this course mainly contains environmental part ,biotech part, as well as civil part. That's y everyone can able to have good knowledge of whole thing

Placement Experience

Honestly there are no placemens from the university. But professors of this department tries hardly for all students to get them placed. Most oftenly they do it. Actually after this course we have got the high chance in our research line compare to job field.

College Events

Seminars related to environment, Field trip for the educational purpose, World environmentalal day, Freshers for juniora as well as farewell for seniors, Tree planting, Environmental awareness camp in campuss.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It's feasible. We have 4 semesters in our 2 year M. Tech course. Each semester we have to deposit 24 thousands rupees. So total 96 thousands rupees has to paid for the entire course. Beside some amounts of exam fee has to be given

Fees and Financial Aid

University provides the scholarship for those who are GATE qualified. The GATE qualified students get a scholarship of 12400 rupees per month for 2 years. I don't know anything about the loan facility. But if any one has any issue about the money or anyone in economical background gets the benefit to give the rupees in installment basis

Campus Life

Labs are ok. Even no deficiency of instrument has been found till now. Phd scholars are very well trained n knowledgeable for this instruments.In sports u all have the freedom in jadavpur university playground.

Jadavpur university is all known for its seniors and alumnis.they are the most helpful people throughout our journey. In each field like study, job, academics, sports, they helped us.in maximum case they helped us in our placements

Admission

After my B.Tech, i have applied for the M. Tech in this department and i went through the entrance test.finally I was able to be in the merit list. The merit list totally depends on the number u have scored in the entrance exam.

Faculty

Faculty is one of the main key things for this renowned university. They plays the major role for the student to be successful in their life. They are very helpful, friendly and cooperrative. They gives us theoretical as well as practical knowledge so that we can relate something in our life

M.Tech in IIT KGP - What you need to know.

At the end of 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placements. 1000 of company visit campus every year in January and December month. Placement takes place in two form one in December and other in January. Like IBM, puma, ICC bank, Deloitte, ABG, Lenovo, etc. highest package is about 2.68 crore per annum, average 15lpa According to different profiles. Students should have more than 8.5 cgpa for good placements. I will join a good company after completing the degree.

Like my main was getting to IIT which I couldn't as U couldn't clear JEE advanced.So my next option was to choose between NITS and JU.So clearly choose JU because it completes our BE in 10k whereas the fees of NITs are really high.So as I gave JEE in 2024 my jee main rank was something around 64K (95.5 percentile) and my wbjee rank was 2341 and got alloted food Technology and biochemical engineering in jadavpur university.The process to get into our college is to give wbjee and if u are a general your rank should be within 2500 to get into this premium college....Read More

Homebound Forward with Jadavpur University

I have always wanted to study in Jadavpur University in one of their literature departments since I was a kid. This was a way of achieving a tiny dream of mine. Moreover, the Comparative Literature Department is the best in all entire Asia and the first one in the country. I wanted to experience the greatness of this course and how the canons of this literature were formed here. It is also the topmost State Public University and 9th in NIRF I wanted to be a part of an institution that could be great to this extent.
