Remarks

Our College provides more homely vibes to us. We always feel like we are in our comfort zone but still we are constantly reminded by nobody but ourselves to work hard for our own growth. With the constant support and affection of our teachers and friends we evolve into a totally different person by the end of our college period.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Being a literature student,I have to say that the course, curriculum and exam structure is very well revised.DU's faculty has done a good job in compiling such a huge syllabus into 6 semesters through which we evolve as a person. Never thought that classroom study would bring such a change in me but I'm delighted. I'm growing as a person , that too , dynamically. We , as students are learning how to question and not just providing answers and that I think will bring revolution.

Placement Experience

3.5

The students are paid very well even after graduation. I've already caught hold of 2 internships. I'm working as a social media manager for an NGO.

College Events

4.5

The first event being MISS DRC, where the girls(first yearies) are supposed to show of their talents and avail the crown of Miss DRC. Several departmental fests go on after that. NSS Diwali fest and NCC fest being a cherry on the cake. Manjari, The Annual Fest of Daulat Ram College is held for two days and popular artists are invited. The most awaited day for the students of DRC and other DU students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

15000-22000(depending on the course). For humanities courses, it lies somewhere around 18000 per annum and for science courses like biochemistry honors it's around 22000 per annum taking into consideration the various charges attached with it. It definitely is affordable for everyone.

Fees and Financial Aid

Haven't availed for it.But my acquaintances have been availing for it because of their financial condition and the less family resources that they possess.

Campus Life

3

Being an all girls college, women are in majority. We have male staff too. Throughout the year , the girls are active and found running around in college for every other events. Our Debating Society is conducting one or the other successful sessions every now and then. Poetry Society, Imagism is bringing a big change by making people break through their comfort zones and realizing their true potential. My department's Annual Literary Fest- Novella has been a success this year and has given people a chance to recognize their real potential.

Alumni/Alumna

I feel so fortunate that even the seniors that have passed out of college haven't lost touch with us. We always have their helping hand in everything, from fest to our academics. They also attend every other event of our college and try to relive their past.

Admission

The admission process seemed more like a hassle to me since all of us were accustomed to our school lives. Running around here and there , that too on our own definitely made it a little hard. But I'm glad that we had such cooperating faculty and our supporting seniors to help us through all of this. The naive kid that I was needed a lot of help and I would have been lost if these people weren't there for me in the first place.

Faculty

4

The faculty of the college is smart and hardworking. They know how to go about things and they are very vocal to their students. Rather than it just being a student - teacher relationship, we are becoming friends. Slowly and steadily learning from our teachers while building our own persona.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities are mainly for commerce stream departments but the humanities stream also are offered internship from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and Home ministry. There are many private companies that come to offer placements. The students from 3rd year in particular apply for internships. The highest package iffered is 500000 and the average is 250000. About 45% students get placements. My plan after getting the degree is to go for higher studies.

As a future law student philosophy was one of the options which was good to opt. Secondly, comparatively less people opt it and it can be one of the better choices if you are preparing for upsc and taking it as an optional. Teaching can be made more interactive as the topics are really interesting

Positive : the faculties are good and I could say our college is the meeting place of various cultures ranging from Kerala to jammukashmir Negative: the infrastructure is poor. Labs and libraries are not so good. And there are stray dogs who often steps into classes and make us afraid. College is not fully air conditioned but is on processing.
