Remarks

I don't think I have any negative remarks for my college. The three year experience here was an unforgettable one and it helped me to become who I am now. From academics to extra curricular activities it make sure that once you enter this red brick House, you leave it becoming a self sufficient person.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Delhi University follows CBCS curriculum which is based on grade points. Unlike yearly examinations we have semester system. And marks for attendance are taken into consideration as well. For each subject there is internal as well as external marking.

Internships Opportunities

Yes my college provides internships. I attended one which was DSKC based on research projects, it was provided to science students only. No stipend was provided to us, it was an unpaid internship.

Placement Experience

4

We have a particular placement cell for all the placement opportunities provided to the final year students of the college. Many prestigious companies come up with the descent packages to hire the eligible candidates.

College Events

5

Miranda is known for it's annual college fest i.e TEMPEST which is actually considered to be the most awaited fest of the North campus colleges. Besides this we used to celebrate our very own Founders day on which all the meritorious students are awarded with certificates and trophies. Not only this every department holds it's individual departmental fests.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Being a part of Delhi University, you can never expect your college fees to be too expensive. Mine was ? 15,000 for every year, so you see this is quite feasible. All you need is a good percentage to get admission.

Fees and Financial Aid

My college offers INSPIRE scholarship for those students who scored remarkably good in their class 12 th board examination. And this Scholarship then continues till your Phd if some student wish to pursue their education till there.

Campus Life

5

Being a government college every one would obviously have a thought about the condition of the labs in science department. But lemme tell you the infrastructure of the labs and facilities are no less than any private university. This college has a bunch of active societies for each and every field whether it be street plays, western or Indian dance forms, music and a lot more.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Miranda House have the fanciest hostels of Delhi University. Though there are no ACs but the lush green campus Inside the hostels makes it naturally cool even in extreme Summers. Plus if you get the hostel consider yourself lucky as it isn't easy for Miranda students to get Hostels.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes They are, even I am connected to few of my seniors and they guide to their level best and make sure to give a best advice to their juniors. All of them are now at a respectable position in their career.

Exam Structure

Unlike yearly examinations we have semester system. And marks for attendance are taken into consideration as well. For each subject there is internal as well as external marking. For each subject the internal marks are 25 which are Seggrageted as follows: Attendance: 5 marks Assignment:10 marks Test: 10 marks

Admission

I myself being a science student opted for Bsc chem (hons). Eligibility to get admission to my course was Average percentage of physics, chemistry and maths. I got admission in the third cut off which was 95%

Faculty

4.5

As I was a chemistry student in my college, my experience with the faculties of the chemistry department was a great learning opportunity. All of my teachers were very supportive in terms of academics and all other aspects as well. All of them hold a highly qualified degree from esteemed universities.

I will rate the course curriculum 8/10. I like the labs specially they are modern with well equiped systems. According to me I suggest to improve the course structure to include more practical based learning instead of theory. Overall course is good.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Life science includes zoology botany and chemistry considering this combo I think the study material is quite okay in terms of topics chemistry connects school teaching with one step ahead learning . Zoology provides new insights on various topics . Botany covers deeper understanding of syllabus . So overall it's good . Hands on lab work meets the demand of the subject . Also the topics taught match with the type of questions asked in exam. Difficulty level i would say it's moderate for botany and zoology but for chemistry is quite tough. Time management is a much needed skill for examination purpose. For course curriculum i would say more focus on current situation should be laid rather than history .

I think that the course curriculum is good and well managed . The curriculum has all necessary subjects related to our course as well as all other necessary subjects like human values and basic ethics. I find our course curriculum is apt for our course . Thought their is a lag for more practical learning and skills. It will be better if they add more practical learning.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus of Electronics Hons and Electrical Engineering is same but makes it different is how we perceive it. We study the syllabus with theoretical aspects while the engineers with practical aspects. We have a chance to opt for the 4th year, which only comprises of Research. One of the optionals is Generic Elective and if you take GE from same department for all semesters, you will attain a minor degree. The Faculties and whole curriculum is great but the other optionals require improvement. The other optionals only make the Student Life hectic, that stumbles the Student's focus from Course track.
