College review

The college is overall very good in infrastructure, facilities, faculties and placements. There is a central library in the college which contains numerous amount of study materials for each and every student. There is a computer centre with internet access for students if they want to use the computer. There is a central auditorium for any conference, seminars or functions. There is a canteen for staffs and students.

The course curriculum is good. It is managed by the AICTE rules and regulations. The curriculum contains the subjects that arey needed for the course but it also includes other activities and laboratories.

Placement and job opportunities are good because the college is the main campus of the punjab government and it runs its own training and placement cell which enables the students to be able to crack the interviews.

One of the events celebrated in the college is fresher's party which is held every year during the commencement of the new batches. It includes interactive sessions and knowing the campus for the new students. The other event celebrated is a tech fest which is also held every year which consists of coding, gaming, Hackathon, workshops etc. Hostel night is also celebrated every year at the commencement of nee batches in the hostel.

The fee structure is very nominal. Tuition fees are charged at 30000 rupees per semester and other fees' like exam fees and maintenance fees add upto 7000 rupees and hostel fees for hostelers are charged at 15000 rupees per year.

The college gives scholarships to meritorious students and financially backward students. The scholarship scheme is that the students with good ranks in jee mains exam have to pay deducted tuition fees.

The extracurricular activities are very good. Every year there is a NSS camp held in which the students are made to do some social works like plantation, blood donation, cleanliness drives and there are also tours held every year.

The hostel infrastructure is very good. It consists of 8 storeys with almost forty rooms on every storey with attached bathroom and balcony in each room. The facilities provided are laundry room, TV room, common hall, basketball court, badminton court, Jim and parking area.

The alumni network is being created currently. A new web portal has been created for the alumni students where they can be contacted and they can connect with other students and the college and gather the information about the college. The seniors in the college are very helpful.

The exam structure is good and it is run by the government of punjab. The administrative body of the university takes the exam. Every year there are two exams that is two semesters one in the winters and one in the summers.

I got admission in this college by qualifying the jee mains examination and then attending the centralised counselling of Punjab university. Then i was invited for admission by the call letter for admission by the college.

The faculties of my college are very knowledgeable and helpful in every field. They are always ready to help the students in every aspect and provide them with any aid required either in studies or any other thing.
