Remarks
The college is good but the course I'm doing is not as organised as would be expected of a college of this stature, would expect and require a lot of improvement.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is planned a little randomly and not in order of what is required. This course doesn't have a mid semester so at the end of first semester, the entire exam structure and questions are a complete shock to the students.
Placement Experience
The college does not provide internships, the student is incharge of finding their own place to work at. The placement cell consists of and is handled by students with little guidance from the teachers.
College Events
There are various departmental fests as well as a main college fest, these events are vastly participated in by the student body and they are encouraged to take up more extra curriculars. The teachers do not participate much.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees structure is about one lakh (1,00,000) Rupees per annum and it's feasible compared to other colleges for the same cost, however the infrastructure provided for the fees is subpar and does not meet expectations
Fees and Financial Aid
Most scholarships offered are for those in backward classes or Christians, since I belong to neither category, I'm not aware.
Campus Life
We do not have or use any labs for our course, the college is relatively good at sports, especially football and basketball and has beat a lot of teams in this city.
Hostel Facilities
No, I haven't availed the hostel facility.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni of Joseph's are close knit community and keep in touch with each other, senior students are extremely friendly and helpful, will always make you feel comfortable and provide support in every manner possible.
Admission
Submitted application online using the sjc website. Then I wrote an entrance exam and on making the merit list, two rounds of interview and verification of all documents and double checking of degree.
Faculty
Most of the teachers teaching this course are external working professionals who only come to teach a specific class on some days. While some are extremely experienced and provide priceless knowledge, others really do not know how to teach.
