Course Curriculum Overview

4

It was nice, I was enjoyed a lot we had social development to understand the community and family... Psychology is the one of the main subject in this course to love this course. It was helped me to know my self and understanding others in the community.

Internships Opportunities

No, college doesn't provide any type of internship.

Placement Experience

0.5

I didn't get any chance to attend campus interview. In this college they were not organizing any job fare and campus selection because that Management people will think it will take more money to organize all these kind of things in college. For going orientation visit to companies in Bangalore we use to beg management and we hardly getting permission to use college bus for traveling I Bangalore for orientation visits.

College Events

1.5

Freshers day, We all celebrated the fresher's day in college that time we had good time with friends and we all enjoyed the day. It was nice experience to understand seniors in college. Graduation ceremony was take place e that is an big event in my life I don't forgot this day until my last day and we had one more event in college when NAAC committee came to visit and. Asses the college for giving aids.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Very Expensive. I was paid more than 1.50 lac and it was very hectic for me to pay the fees. Even for giving simple ID card college management was collected money from the student's it was not fare we went to inside the college chairman room and asked why are you collecting pint to give ID cards and all and he was told us finally you have to pay..

Fees and Financial Aid

No I didn't get any scholarship at this time and am not aware of it also.....

Campus Life

2

It was nice to say about campus life we all enjoyed with roaming around the campus and having inter computations we played cricket, volleyball games and we won it in College. One more thing as social work student we had a paper for 50 marks to go and stay in a remote village for ten days and we should have every day meeting with community and evening program to perform some thing for villagers we got Their support and love it amazing and unforgettable.

Hostel Facilities

0.5

No facility at that time. We didn't got any facility like above because we use to stay at Rent place.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes it was good to keep in touch with class mates and seniors to get updates about new jobs and opportunities. It will help full to guide others to give chance to grow in the society.

Exam Structure

It was good we were writing exams semester wise yearly two times and had enough time to prepare for the exams. We use to go for exams exact time because we took one room near the college for rent to stay. For finally exams we all went to Bangalore university near kengery to Attend the oral exams.

Admission

I was not aware of Bangalore and I didn't know any thing about course and colleges in Bangalore that time I met one of my friend called Muniraj S. He was helped me to get in to Bangalore City College and he took me to directly to near college chairman and spoke about my admission he was told me the fee structure and asked me to pay the advance amount other wise I won't get seat in the college it seems. After that I came and spoke with my parents about fees and all they are very shocked about fees because it was more than one and half lac. Than we had one a family friend through this person we got some money to pay the college fees. Finally I get in to college by paying 45k for first semester.

Faculty

2.5

Faculty was good enough and I was not liking my HOD because she was doing partiality among the student's. One more lecturer called Mr. Nagaraj was a visually impaired but he was very active and knowledgeable person. He was one role model to whole college.

Placement Experience:

By the end of the 2nd semester, we are constantly notified about any vacancies in any department. The college placement cell sends us notifications through our class monitors or sometimes throyoutlr HOD. Even after the end of our final semester exam, we are added in a group that is specially meant for job opportunities and placements, where they constantly update and notify us. Out of 32 students in our class, a total of 12 students got placement. As for me, my plan is to do PhD in the said field.

Remarks:

St. Joseph's College is one of the oldest Catholic institutions and is a brand which is one of the factors that has attracted me. The reason I went with the course was because of the exposure the course offers as most of the professors are from the industry and they don't give any oldschool textbook knowledge. I wanted to do a full fledged Masters degree and not a diploma and this is one of the few colleges in Bangalore which offers this course.
