Entrance Preview

I took entrance in my college through COMEDK exam. I secured 3720 rank in this exam. After having counselling I got MVIT college. I was very much loving student for electrical which attracted me for my EEE course. While having admission every procedure was done by college staff and VTU University staff. Every single step was checked. My marks card was taken for proving it to be a valid marks card.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is fine but problem is that no one even teachers don't show keen interest in electrical research or inventions some thing like that (only few teacher are that encourage us for think out of our boot)The only focus is on marks and on campus placement. They inter in class and starts writing on green board,they don't give us their use in practical life application.Theory is very good in our department.

Placement Experience

Almost all the students who are above 60% are placed. The package depends on the company and their rank. The most common company who regularly visit our college are-wipro,Samsung,hp,amazon,FLIPKART,sigma and many more. The package is around 2.5 lakh to 11 lakh. Many students get average package of 3.8 lakh or around this.

College Events

Our college festival is kalangali. We invite other college student for this fest.We organise many compitional and cultural event in our college like painting and art design event,fashion show,gully cricket,circuit making,song completion(antakhshari),debate,computer game and many more. Many students take part in this fest and other college students also come to take part in this compition.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have taken education loan in 2014 of Rs 4 lakh. And recently I got my scholarship from my state government. The college is providing good scholarships for toppers.

Campus Life

As usual campus life is fantastic. Here gender ratio is 55:45. We organise parties in our hostel if their is birthday of someone. The workshop is very good and every important instruments are presents like lathe,drilling machine welding machine,and small equipment. No,their is not any diversity between students on the basis of religion,race,cast,colour.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel and their fees annual are as below-Kcds men's hostel unit 1-Rs 47000K cds men's hostel unit2 Rs 45000K cds men's hostel PG Rs 58000 K cds girls hostel Rs 47000.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

They are good. Initially all the Senior were hard but after time they were gentle. They taught us manner and how to behave professionally which is desired recqirement of today market. Allumini are excellent they are always ready to solve and also encourage you to solve problem.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have been from diploma background, after diploma I joined this course as later entry (direct admission to 2nd year). In diploma also, I have studied the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) course. As I know the basic concepts about this course, it is easy for me now to understand the concepts.

Faculties are highly experienced and ready to help all the time

Washrooms need to be clean and good to use especially for girls hygiene it has to be good

from 5 th semester there will be campus place ment is there There will many companies are visited , like Amazon, google, There is 60 lakh per annual but i didn't known which companies there will be 80 percent students are getting placement my plan is to make money and help the poor peoples There is beast placement in our college , there will be a internships and good here for Hailey package in this college

Good Infrastructure and Career Opportunities

Yes the first thing I liked is the campus and the environment there is no harrasment and strict action will be taken.
And second thing is faculty members are so helpful and they always help to students and different festival
And also the campus provide all facilities and make helps to sports and ration is almost equal of boys and girls

Dislikes

Yes some things are there which I disliked first is the campus is very strict and no function are organised yearly ones or twice is very sad thing as compared to other campus
Second thing is food students facing some problem with the food which hear prepared so outsiders facing lot of problems
Third is about hostel facility is good but very strict only once a week the students should go out side and write leave letter to go there native places.

Placement Experience:

Students got opportunity to eligible after 3rd year mainly in 7th semester students get opportunity for campus interview. In my college the company which came to hire is congizent and microsoft and amezon and dell nearly 80 to 90 company are came. The company offers is highest is 40 lack per annum which google provide and minimum is 4lack . Mainly 80 percent of the students are placed every year but due to war happened in the global impact in placement I want to do masters in abroad and then go to the company

Campus is good and mainly located near Whitefield.
too good supportive professor. Staff are too chill. Some staff are like our bestfriend's.
Lab equipment are good . You are not facing any issue with pc.. it's good

Dislikes

There is only few events in a year. I think only 3 events.
Hostel building is too bad. And hostel food is too bad.
There is no field to play games like cricket, football.

Placement Experience:

After 8 sems we are eligible for placements. TCS ,Dell and many companies visited mvj. Highest package of mvj was 22lakhs per annum. Basically some companies ask CGPA at above 8. My plan is a developer after my engineering in python language or Else I will continue my dad business

Insights of the Gopalan college of engineering and Management by a First Year Student

Likes

Canteen is fine has nice and tasty food and quite a lot of options
Library is also good has every book related to my course and few others as well
Lab facilities are also very nice and the college has a nice crowd

Dislikes

It's nothing like I expected, they don't let students use the ground or turfs. Facilities are pretty bad.
They charge money for everything and has zero facilities for college students. Everything is for there school students.
College is very small and the faculties are rude to students. (Mostly the case)

Placement Experience:

Student are eligible for placements from there 7th semester but I wouldn't recommend relying on college for placements. Not many companies come to this college so placements are really bad. If u have skills it would be better to apply to companies on your own. I don't have details on how many students gets placed but as much as I know it's about 30-50 % And average package is also very low. I plan of gaining skills and certification on my own and job hunting myself in 4th year through my connections and internships. Or maybe go abroad for masters As I'm a first year student I don't know much about which companies come and how much they offer.

Conditions of hostels and mess is not good
Teachers and professors are not good in explaining concepts to students

Placement Experience:

From the end of 6th semester students become eligible for campus placemets.Many companies visit the campus including Oracle, UI path, etc offering students interships and full time jobs.The highest package offered to the student is 50 lakh per annum from UI Path and the average package of CSE branch is around 10lakh. Nearly 93% of students are placed in various companies.My plans after graduation is to grab a good on campus placement and look forward to my other goals in my life.

An honest review

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
