ISM to IIT

Well overall college is very good and is providing many opportunities for the education as well as personality development of a student. Placement statistics is very good for cse and mnc students and other branch students who go for non-core jobs but in core the condition is not good especially in electronics btanch.core companies dont come to recruit student for ug students.for pg students its fine.

The curriculum is well planned and organized to cover complete syllabus for core plus there are sessional subjects to improve ones personality and critical thinking. there are 8 semesters in btech course.per semester we have two exams -midsems and endsems there weightage is 30% and 45% respectively ,rest 25% is given on class tests , assignments and attendance.

Being an IIT many big companies come and offer heavy packages to deserving candidates. Companies like microsoft ,amazon ,samsung and many more come and give internship opportunities to 3rd year students.

Each year many cultural and technical fests happen in our college by different departments and societies but the biggest of them are 1.) Concetto - technical fest of iit ism dhanbad. 2.) Srijan- 3 day cultural fest.each year more than 20,000 people attend it.

Fees structure is moderate around 2.2 lakh per year but one can get financial aid provided by mhrd where fee waiver on tution fee is given according to net family income of the student. Student must submit all the required documents before start of each year.

I have not availed any scholarship. But there are many scholarships offered by departments and alumni.they offer scholarship based on the economical condition or cgpa of a student.MCM is one of the good scholarship offered where whole tution fee is waivered based on the family income of the student but he must have a minimum gpa of 7.5 to avail it.

Clubs and societies are very good. There are many clubs like litm (dance society) , roboism (robotics and ai club) and many more like photography club , arts club , debating club and more. Each club runs and is functioned by students.good amount of fund is given to each club.overall all clubs are exceptionally good. Sports is also very good. We have good condition playing ground for sports like cricket football, tennis , volleyball, basketball etc.

Alumni network is good and the college is always trying to make it stronger. Recently a programme is launched in which the college is trying hard to contact all alumni's which are working internationally.Alumni are ver helpful they help students in placements , internship and also provide college with fund.

One has to take jee mains exam which occurs twice a year.first in january then in april.your best score is taken from the two to give you a rank and after qualifying it you have to get a minimum cut off score in jee advanced to get selected for particular branch.

All the faculty members are highly educated.they have done their masters and phd's from reputed colleges of our nation and globally. They are required to do heavy research work and many professors have very good papers published.
