There are so much positive and encouraging to say about my alma mater JU. My college offers the best faculties, the best set of placement companies.

The Course Curriculum was in sync with the requirements of the current society and corporate sector. The subjects in the course included those domains that centered around outcome based learning. Subjects dealt with various case studies to comprehend the real-life problems in our ambience. The exam structure included both Theory Written Exam as well Practical Exam. The theory exams were of 100 marks per subject. The lab exam too was of 100 marks but the syllabus of lab had three subjects with 30 marks per subject assignment and 10 marks for Departmental discretion.

The placement opportunities at JU is the best in West Bengal state with colossal product based MNCs like FB, Microsoft, Yahoo, Google, Amazon, Adobe, Rediff, Samsung etc along with myriad Service based MNCs like TCS, CTS, Wipro, IBM etc visit and recruit JU students.

We have a galore of events at JU such as Freshers Welcome CIPPUS, Cultural fest SRIJAN, Technical entrepreneurship event HULTZ AWARD, jontro tontro, departmental tech events, a whole bunch of conferences and seminar round the year etc.

Too much feasible as for most of the PG course that JU provide has fees as less as 2400 per semester. The fees per semester of our Software Engineering course is 18000 per semester but now with 12400 stipend per month, the fees seem very much affordable. Plus a host of other scholarships are there for UG students.

The scholarships offered to PG scholars who have qualified the GATE exam gets 12400 per month, the scholarships offered to SC/ST/Minority students by various Government and Non-Government bodies etc.

The extracurricular activities of JU is one of the finest as there are innumerable number of Clubs for recreational acitvities, gymkhana, swimming pool, basket ball court, volleyball court, cricket ground, football ground etc.

The hostel facilities are good with special emphasis on diurnal cleaning of toilets, rooms, mess area etc. The mess where food is available is of good quality witj a proper schedule being maintained.

The rich heritage of JU is a witness of a great number of Alumnus who had proved their mettle in all spheres of life. Name any field and you will find a JU student foing wonders in it and making its alma mater proud. The alumni network is very robust and helpful with annual alumni meet to keep the bonds stronger and growing each year.

Firstly, the elgibility for the M.E. in Software Engineering course was to qualify the all india GATE exam. Only GATE qualified candidates were eligible to apply. Next, there was a written exam based on which a merit list was prepared. The admission to the course need to be taken within a stipulated time frame post which waitlisted candidates were called for admission.

The faculties of one of the finest institutes of India i.e. Jadavpur University is without doubt very knowledable, adept and experienced in their academic and mentoring roles. They have both a sound cognizance of industry requirements as well research throughput.
