Remarks

College is at best location in the city you won't find any college in the centre of the city in any state except my college which has sucha a big campus of 161 acres. And Amritsar is a beautiful city.I don't regret any moment living here. In the cons its just the fees that pinches a little but it's fine. One more thing our college provides single room to everyone from the 1st year u won't get that anywhere " full freedom " i would say. Also we have Dams for pg prepartion just at a distance of 1.5 km from college.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

MBBS consists for 4.5 yrs with 1 year of internships that totals a long course of 5.5 yrs. But it feels good to be in MBBS. It's different from other courses here you have defnite placement guarantee if u don't want to do further study. 1st professional is of 1 year ,2nd professional is of 1.5 yrs & Final year consists of two parts Final year 1 aka 3rd professional and Final year 2 aka 4th professional. That totals for 4.5 yrs. We have University exams at the end of every professional year. So as for now u will have to give 4 exams in 4.5 yrs of time. There are total subjects in entire Mbbs are) 1st year ( Anatomy , Physiology , Biochemistry) 2nd year ( Pathology, Pharmacology, Microbiology, Forensic Medicine & Toxicology) 3rd year ( Opthalmology, ENT, COMMUNITY MEDICINE) 4th year ( Medicine, Surgery , Pediatrics, Gynaecology & Obstetrics , Radiology , Orthopaedics , Dermatology , Anesthesiology). Yes this course is vast and we have to study a lot to be good in this field but it's necessary because we get too much respect in society for this profession. But it's chill for most of the time stress comes only around 3-4 months near to exams. So don't be afraid of Mbbs it has many more pros than cons and it's a greay path to achieve elegant life. Most of the exams are subjective in college. Internal examination can be of any type subjective or objective depending upon professors and departments. In specialisation pediatrics and gyane obs department are best here.

Placement Experience

4

In Mbbs there is almost guaranteed placement. But most students prefer to study further and do specialisation so they opt for NEET-PG exams. On the other hand if they don't want to study further they can join as Medical officer in Civil Medical services of any state by appearing in exam or interview that's an easy exam (salary starting from 60k). Or they can join as Medical officer in private hospitals. Many of my seniors joined Fortis an Medicity after there internships( salary 50 k to 1lac depending on Hospital and your performance). Also you can do House job in your own college if u get selected( Stipend 40k + free hostel). Selection is on the basis of marks. After the final year college provides us internships that is mandatory we get to learn so many things from well trained post graduates and teachers it's very much helpful because we get to learn that real field work there we also get paid a fair amount of stipend ranging from 15 k - 20 k. Internship is of 1 year).

College Events

4.5

Our annual fest in "Neoplasia " a famous fest of punjab and Amritsar. It's an intracollege fest. Star night of my college is awesome last time Gurnam Bhullar came to our college. We also have a four yearly inter College fest "Metaplasia" that's awesome too. Apart from these many sports tournament like football , Cricket , Badminton, Basketball, Volleyball , Cosco cricket ,sports fest etc are organised in our college. Literary fest is also in our college " Minerva". We get too many opportunities to express our extracurricular skills here.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees is a little bit expensive than medical College of other states. It 80k for 1st year ,90k for 2nd ,1 lac for 3rd yr , 1.1 lacs for 4th and 60 k for last year for Mbbs.In post graduation also fees is high 1.5 lacs for 1st year ,2 lacs for 2nd and 2.5 lacs for 3rd year. Fees is high but its feasible to pay fees is not high like that of private medical College.

Fees and Financial Aid

All the scholarship provided by state and central government can be availed here. Also they provide cash scholarship to subject toppers every year.We have alumni association like AMDANA in USA from our college that also provides scholarship to students. Many students are getting benefitted here by post matric and central sector scholarships.

Campus Life

Hostel Facilities

5

Yes I have opted for hostel. My hostel is awesome newly built ,fully maintained at just 33k per annum u can't find such an accomodation outside at this amount. Our college provide hostel for almost all students we have total 7-8 blocks of hostel. Also we get facilities like wifi etc for free. We get easy access to gym , sports complex , library , mess and canteens.

Alumni/Alumna

We have alumni network in USA in the name of AMDANA. They provide scholarship to students and also fund departments for developmental work. Our seniors are so helpful and supportive. They help us during exams. And nothing like ragging happens in here. We have totally disciplined and strict system against ragging.

Admission

I appeared in NEET-UG exam and secured an all india rank 4200.After that I appeared in Counseling conducted by MCI in 2017. And I got this college in counseling. I reported to the college and got admission here.

Faculty

4.5

Faculty of my college are very good. A very good Student to faculty ratio is maintained in all departments of my college. They are very knowledgeful and helping teachers. We never have to face any shortage of faculty or equipment in my college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the curriculum “is well-planned … as per NMC (National Medical Commission) guidelines.” Practical classes are included daily alongside theory. “practicals are also included each day along with theory classes.” The AETCOM (Attitude, Ethics, Communication) component is explicitly mentioned, which is good because it shows attention to non-technical competencies. there are 4 levels of exams in a year — mid-terms, “send-ups,” etc. Some students feel the curriculum is stressful.

The most fascinating thing is to know about the our body which works in a very complex manner and to understand the mechanism of working in our daily routine and they fascinate me to choose this course and well-being of the society and the people to cure the humanity and our college is the humanity service equality some of the teaching methods that is to show more practically along with the theoretical part would be quite more fascinating and interesting in this course and the frequency of the test and the exams which will be taken in our college is best as we can study because of that exams and prepare beforehand for the finals.
