the curriculum “is well-planned … as per NMC (National Medical Commission) guidelines.” Practical classes are included daily alongside theory. “practicals are also included each day along with theory classes.” The AETCOM (Attitude, Ethics, Communication) component is explicitly mentioned, which is good because it shows attention to non-technical competencies. there are 4 levels of exams in a year — mid-terms, “send-ups,” etc. Some students feel the curriculum is stressful.

Internships Opportunities

As per its MBBS program, AIMS Mohali has a 5.5-year course, which includes a 1-year compulsory internship. This “internship” is the standard Compulsory Rotating Medical Internship (CRMI) required by the NMC.

Interaction between seniors and juniors is generally positive and supportive; there’s no culture of harassment. Occasional cultural and festival celebrations Overall, socially the atmosphere is friendly, safe, and connected.

Admission

AIMS Mohali has a very strong and supportive faculty, especially for first-year subjects. In comparison, some older GMCs have excellent clinicians but often handle very large batches, which can dilute individual attention

Internships Opportunities 4.5 When you have completed your 4.5 years of mbbs journey then you will have to do 1 yr of compulsary internship in the college itself , you will alsomget the stipend of around 15k per month,internship will be provided by the college Fees and Financial Aid Yearly tution fees is around 190000 which increases every Year by 10 Percent. For sc/st category yearly fees reduces to zero. The hostel fees per year is around 45k. Mess cost is 3500 per month Books cost around 7k per month. Campus Life 4 In college every festival is celebrated with full excitement and full involvement by all the staff and students. Certain clubs are there which you can join and can contribute to the college and u will get awarded too. Infrastructure seems poor but you will get habitual of it Hostel Facilities 4 Hotel for boys are 8 km far from the college in 88 sector mohali in purab premium appartment which are great as they have given us flats with 3 students in each room. Fir girls hostels are in college itself and 3 students in a room and also attached washrooms are there in each room. Hostel Fee: INR 45000 per year Admission See college allotment is done via online counselling which is conducted by bfuhs on their site itself. College allotment is based on rank that you have got in neet ug rank.on my rank this college was alloted to me. Also private colleges also there which go down very low ranks Faculty 4.5 Faculty is very hard working, mentors are also provided here so faculty is great. Course structure is of 5.5 yr(including 1 yr of internship) Passing criteria is 50 percent. Exams are conducted mainly in 3 phases 1st term , mid term , send ups and then finals by university itself.

Night Life

Because the college is located in Mohali (close to Chandigarh), the surrounding area has decent late-evening options: Phase 7 & Phase 3B2 Mohali markets have cafés and eateries. Chandigarh (Sector 8, 17, 22, 35, and 26) is only 15–20 minutes away and has: Trendy cafés Late-night food spots Lounge-style restaurants Ice cream and coffee places open till midnight.

The curriculum followed in our college is CBME based curriculum. Our college was one such college which conrributed tremendously in developing this type of curriculum.
