Remarks

The management of the college is also very good, they take care of the needs of the students and if there's any complaint they also responds very quickly.

Entrance Preview

I took several entrance exams like AIPMT, B.Tech entrance but later on i decided to join deshbandhu college of university of delhi. The admission was purely merit based i.e., no entrance exam was required to join the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course structure of Bsc life sciences is very god, university has divided the entire syllabus in a very effective manner into six semesters which divides the course burden equally over six semesters and as a result makes the course very productive.

Internships Opportunities

No the college does not provide any internship though it gives all practical experience to each and every student for the overall development, its has large number of labs for practical experience.

Placement Experience

4

The college has a separate placement cell which invite reputed market leader companies for direct recruitment under the recruitment cell. During my time companies like religare, ICICI, HDFC turned for the selection and many students got absorbed with a minimum package of 3.6lacs per annum.

4.5

Yes, the college also help several cultural, sports and educational events through out the year, which provides the students a platform to showcase their talent on very fields. Students organises each and every events which help them to manage pressure and face difficulties. Annual Sports Day is held every year. Along with annual college fest as well as annual events of respective college socities.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Deshbandhu college is a government college hence fee structure is very reasonable which helps the students coming from economically weaker section to continue their higher education. The yearly fee structure is about Rs7000 p.a. while the exam fee is additional Rs.60 per paper twice a year.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, the college does not provide any loan facility though it gives scholarship to merit holders of each discipline which again gives an additional benefit to students of economically weaker section to carry their expenses.

Campus Life

4.5

The college is a co-education college which gives equal opportunity to boys and girls. Gender ratio of the college is appreciable. There is a separate women harassment cell which consists of lecturers and seniors students who takes care of any mis-happening against girls. But fortunately during my batch i personally have not heard any such case.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The college does not have any hostel on its own but the college is located in a very prime location of kalkaji hence accommodation is easily available. PG's and girls hostel are nearly located which are safe and secure for girls and students from other st

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are extremely friendly and cooperative, who are always available to help the newcomers. Their attitude makes it a very friendly and ragging free environment. I am really lucky to have such great seniors.

Exam Structure

Yes, when it comes to exam it's really tough to explain in simple words though the university takes care of the fact that students should not face much of burden, exam days are not very frequent and hectic. Practicals are held on separate days and main ex

The Fest organised by this college is Priyadarshini and the annual fest Rajnigandha. The Fest are not great in comparison to other du college and are not that much celebrated. There are many different kinds books present in library like literature,Hindi, Chemistry, Maths, zoology, biology, botany, political science, History Geography the books are only alloted till 12pm and only for 15 days after that you will be charged if book is not returned Sports and Extracurricular are good but classrooms are not that great most projectors in classrooms don't work . There are many good societies in college like jamini the art society and others but joining has caused students to leave their classes which affects them academically

Course Curriculum Overview:

Exams are only held once per semester, the IA marks are based on class tests, presentations, lab work and attendance. The syllabus and core curriculum are the same for all the DU colleges. Relevance pretty much depends on you; if you know what you signed up for and prepare accordingly, I can't see a reason why someone would find it irrelevant. Although some elective subjects (like sec and vac) might serve some outdated or irrelevant methods because they're newly introduced, and many DU colleges have this issue, but it's not extreme, some efforts from your side and some from the college's can ovecome this.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the course curriculum as highly relevant and fairly comprehensive especially for the students inclined towards applied science and technology. one of the main reasons i chose this course was the balance between the theoretical understanding and the practical application, supported by well equipped laboratories and project based assessments. The inclusion of skill enhancement course and the discipline elective papers provides felxibility and helps students explore interdisciplinary areas. but there is still a room for improvement in making the styllabus more industry oriented, such as integrating internships and live projects and workshops with industry partners to enhance pratical exposure. exams are also prepared in a way that simply memorizing the concept won't help rather deep understanding of the subjects would be needed that is they are much more aplication of comcept oriented. with consistent preparation you can perform well.

The placements cell Avenues regarding the placement offers coming to the college. Major companies of the job market come to the campus for recruitment like KPMG, deloitte, zepto, EY, ZS Associates and many more. The students from the final year itself gets eligible for placements. Around 30-40% students get the palcements through the placement drive. The highest package during the last palcement season was around 18 to 20LPA, while the average was 7 to 8LPA. I will certainly go for higher studies in operational research.
