Course Curriculum Overview

3

I wanted to try various competitive exams after my graduation so I chose the course Physical science with chem so, it won't be much of a headache.....and one thing that's great , is the alumni and students connection the college that helps even career as well for every now and then alumnus often visit and share their experiences and guidance...and regarding the exams level I don't really know for I have given one...

Placement Experience

3

The average placement is 10.4 lakhs but the thing is that , placement is not offered to every course and seats are very limited and students from bsc stats and bcom are usually the one with better placement rates..

Fees and Financial Aid

The cost of the yearly fee was 31085rs and all the lab fees , tuition fees etc are included and regarding with the other categories fees difference, it was just around 100-200 rupees difference...am not very sure wheather the fees would increase but compared to my 1 year ahead seniors it increased.. Quite a few scholarships were available but not every one gets it because most of them are merit based and arts students gets better funding than science students when it comes to college scholarships..

Campus Life

4

Suruchi (it's a diwali fest) and there r lots of fest and most of them are around feb and March as per the info i gather from my seniors. There quite some books available in the library all ranging from course specific, magazines to competitive exams books and but there if are no novels or other types of books. There r ac in some classes but so far most of the classes don't have access to ac Similarly some classes are like the audi type while other r the normal ones..some has projectors while some room does not have.. Football, cricket, basketball and volleyball are there in my college (Hindu),and the fun thing is that we actively participated in inter uni sports and the sports person can avail upto 100 rs daily in the canteen condition he practiced.. There r lots of student -run societies one can explore

Admission

One of the main reason was my college was the NIRF rank 1 in college category in the country right now , I got BHU and NIT Manipur as well but i didn't went because i felt like there would be better exposures.. Actually my main goal was to go to NDA but I couldn't make it in written and along the way i happened to give the cuet and got a good college so I just admitted it.. To get into DU Hindu college ,u must appeared cuet and get a good score for its usually one of the preferred college for every cuet aspirants, a person can give cuet after they appeared there 12 board exam and cut offs are usually high for good colleges and about the admissions experience, I would say it was really chaotic for I had to research everything for I know no one who studied in DU..

Faculty

3

Most of the faculties are quite good and friendly but some can be hard to go along with. Basically there are 2 main exams every year but teachers do conduct test timely to be keep the student concepts polish..

Night Life

4

The library is open till 5:30pm and am not very sure of the public area n gym Right now the men's hostel is under construction so I don't have any info There r quite a lot of things to explore like the auditorum and amphitheatre where public usually goes on..and outside college is the Sudama Chai that's one of the best tea I ever drank so far..

Other Applied Colleges

Campus Life:

The Fest organised by this college is Priyadarshini and the annual fest Rajnigandha. The Fest are not great in comparison to other du college and are not that much celebrated. There are many different kinds books present in library like literature,Hindi, Chemistry, Maths, zoology, biology, botany, political science, History Geography the books are only alloted till 12pm and only for 15 days after that you will be charged if book is not returned Sports and Extracurricular are good but classrooms are not that great most projectors in classrooms don't work . There are many good societies in college like jamini the art society and others but joining has caused students to leave their classes which affects them academically

Course Curriculum Overview:

Exams are only held once per semester, the IA marks are based on class tests, presentations, lab work and attendance. The syllabus and core curriculum are the same for all the DU colleges. Relevance pretty much depends on you; if you know what you signed up for and prepare accordingly, I can't see a reason why someone would find it irrelevant. Although some elective subjects (like sec and vac) might serve some outdated or irrelevant methods because they're newly introduced, and many DU colleges have this issue, but it's not extreme, some efforts from your side and some from the college's can ovecome this.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the course curriculum as highly relevant and fairly comprehensive especially for the students inclined towards applied science and technology. one of the main reasons i chose this course was the balance between the theoretical understanding and the practical application, supported by well equipped laboratories and project based assessments. The inclusion of skill enhancement course and the discipline elective papers provides felxibility and helps students explore interdisciplinary areas. but there is still a room for improvement in making the styllabus more industry oriented, such as integrating internships and live projects and workshops with industry partners to enhance pratical exposure. exams are also prepared in a way that simply memorizing the concept won't help rather deep understanding of the subjects would be needed that is they are much more aplication of comcept oriented. with consistent preparation you can perform well.

Placement Experience:

The placements cell Avenues regarding the placement offers coming to the college. Major companies of the job market come to the campus for recruitment like KPMG, deloitte, zepto, EY, ZS Associates and many more. The students from the final year itself gets eligible for placements. Around 30-40% students get the palcements through the placement drive. The highest package during the last palcement season was around 18 to 20LPA, while the average was 7 to 8LPA. I will certainly go for higher studies in operational research.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is aligned with the today's requirements but it could be better. More practical than theoretical knowledge should be taught and industry level knowledge should be provided. End sems are mainly conducted in dec-jan and may-june months and timings differ shiftwise. Morning times are 9:30 pm to 12:30 pm and afternoon timings are 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
