As a student at DTU, I've found the internship scene to be quite vibrant. We have a lot of startups visiting us, which is cool because they offer hands-on roles in marketing and finance. Plus, companies like Bajaj and Mckinley Rise also come for placements. The highest package I heard about is ?13 LPA! It’s a competitive space, and while I haven’t landed an internship yet, many of my friends have been able to secure good positions with decent stipends.
Here’s a list of companies that visited for recruiting interns in the COE/IT/SE branches during the 2014-2015 session. There are many more beyond these!
Let's be honest about this. A good number of COE, SE, and IT companies come for internship opportunities, but there aren't enough companies visiting for core branches.
The process is pretty standard across companies. First, there's a shortlist of eligible students based on your RM, which is mostly determined by your CGPA.
Then, you’ll face a Written Test:
If luck is on your side, you’ll move on to the Personal Interviews, which will include both Technical and HR questions.
Some prominent companies that visit are:
So, make sure to prepare your Aptitude well and keep your CGPA as high as possible. With that, you stand a good chance of landing an On-Campus Internship. Good luck! :)
Studying at DTU has been a great experience so far, especially when it comes to internships and research. The faculty is mostly experienced, with many guest professors from places like JNU. There’s a strong emphasis on practical learning, and we have companies like Development Solutions and EDOOFA coming to recruit. While the competition is tough, the opportunities are there, particularly for students in their final year. I’m aiming for an MBA after this, so I’m focusing on gaining relevant experience through internships.
I’m currently pursuing my degree at DTU in economics, and I can say that the campus offers a decent environment for internships and research. Most opportunities come from startups in marketing, finance, and data analysis. Companies like PROBO and Byjus frequently visit for placements, so it’s good to keep an eye out. The stipend varies, but I’ve heard it can go as high as ?25,000. Overall, there’s a good mix of companies coming to campus, especially in my field.
