Describe the general setting of WAT / GD (if any)?

Akanksha Gupta: “My WAT was conducted online. It was for Narsee Monjee Institute of Management studies. We were given a graph and a paragraph, which we had to analyze and write our views on. There was both a time and word limit for it. About 20 minutes was the deadline.”

What was the WAT / GD Topic?

Akanksha Gupta: “As mentioned above, there wasn’t a topic as such, it was to be analyzed by us. But the broad topic was the role of technology companies in the Lockdown.”

What were your answer/points put forward for the WAT or GD respectively?

Akanksha Gupta: “I mentioned the sectors that did well during the lockdown. My answer was pretty organized. I wrote it in an introduction, body, and conclusion format. A tip would be to first articulate what you want to write and then pen it down on paper.”

Describe the general setting of your personal Interview.

Akanksha Gupta: “XIMB: 1 panel, 3 members, all faculty I’m assuming. The interview was online. It lasted for 12 minutes. Surely a stress interview. They asked me 10th, 12th questions as well. I made it through anyway because I believe I was calm throughout and accepted gracefully when I didn’t know an answer.”

Tell us about yourself- standard prepared answer. Mention both professional and personal attributes in a crisp way.

Why did you leave your job right before the interviews- I wanted to focus all my energy on the interview preparation as it is equally crucial as the exam preparation.

Why MBA- prepared answer.

Finance-related questions- my work ex was in finance, so they asked me all questions related to my work ex.
