What is the latest program that you are offering in your department which will help students outperform and stand apart from the crowd?

I am pleased to announce our latest program that will undoubtedly enable our students to outperform and stand apart from the crowd. We have introduced an advanced curriculum in VLSI Design focusing on the latest industry trends and cutting-edge technologies. This program helped our students with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in designing complex integrated circuits and systems. By immersing themselves in this program, our students will gain a competitive edge, as they will be well-prepared to address the challenges and demands of the rapidly evolving semiconductor industry.


How does your department prepare students for higher education?

My primary focus is to prepare our students for higher education in India and Abroad. We have implemented a holistic approach to ensure their success in pursuing advanced degrees. Our curriculum emphasizes theoretical foundations, hands-on practical experiences, and research opportunities. We also encourage students to engage in extracurricular activities, attend workshops, and participate in internships to enhance their skills and broaden their knowledge. Additionally, we have established collaborations with renowned universities and research institutions to facilitate seamless transitions for students who aspire to pursue higher education abroad. By providing a supportive environment and comprehensive guidance, we aim to empower our students to excel in their academic pursuits at the higher education level.


What valuable advice would you like to the students for them to have a prosperous career ahead?

I encourage them to prioritize ethics and morals in their professional endeavors, as integrity and honesty form the foundation of success. Secondly, I urge them to embrace innovation and stay abreast of emerging technologies, fostering a mindset of continuous learning. Finally, I emphasize cultivating an entrepreneurial spirit, encouraging students to think beyond traditional career paths and seize opportunities to create their ventures. By embodying these principles, our students can forge a path toward a fulfilling and prosperous career.


When you came to the college, what was your vision, and how are you trying to achieve the same?

When I took on the role as the Head of the (ECE) Department, my vision was to cultivate a community of emerging engineers who are not only technically proficient but also innovative and entrepreneurial. To achieve this vision, I have been actively fostering an environment that promotes creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. We have implemented innovative teaching methodologies, encouraged hands-on projects, and established collaborations with industry partners to provide real-world exposure. Additionally, we have incorporated entrepreneurship programs and mentorship initiatives to nurture the entrepreneurial spirit among our students. By focusing on these aspects, we are striving to develop a new generation of engineers who can lead and drive innovation in their respective fields.

What do you see as the department’s greatest strengths and how can they be enhanced?

The ECE Department's greatest strengths lie in our dedicated faculty, who are not only highly qualified but also possess diverse expertise and research interests. We have a strong contingent of Ph.D. holders who bring their invaluable knowledge and experience to the classroom. Additionally, our well-equipped laboratories provide hands-on learning experiences for students. To enhance our department further, we can focus on attracting and retaining top-tier faculty, fostering interdisciplinary collaborations, and continuously updating our laboratory facilities with state-of-the-art equipment. By building upon these strengths, we can ensure a dynamic and enriching educational environment for our students.


Being a Faculty of the Ece Department, what are your roles and responsibilities towards the students?

My roles and responsibilities extend beyond delivering lectures. I am entrusted with academic leadership, which involves guiding, managing, and developing our students. I strive to create a conducive learning environment by designing and delivering high-quality courses, providing mentorship, and supporting their academic and personal growth. I also lead and manage research projects, encouraging students to engage in cutting-edge research. Furthermore, I collaborate with industry partners to bridge the gap between academia and industry, ensuring that our students are well-prepared for the challenges of the professional world. By fulfilling these responsibilities, I aim to empower and equip our students with the knowledge and skills they need for a successful career in ECE.


How did you train yourself/faculty to deliver this program to the students?

I have ensured that our faculty members are well-prepared to deliver the program effectively to our students. We have conducted regular faculty development programs to enhance teaching methodologies, pedagogical techniques, and the use of technology in the classroom. We have also organized workshops and seminars on emerging trends and research advancements. Moreover, we encourage faculty members to engage in continuous professional development, such as pursuing higher degrees, attending conferences, and collaborating with industry experts.


Do you have any extracurricular activities/ programs to enhance the skills of the students or expose them to real-world challenges?

We have student clubs and societies dedicated to specific areas of interest, where students can participate in hands-on projects and collaborate with their peers. These extracurricular activities not only enhance their technical skills but also develop teamwork, leadership, and communication abilities, preparing them for the challenges they will face in their professional careers. For technical skills, we used to organize technical competitions and workshops.
