Why Some MGKVP Results Are Delayed or Wrong?

Most MGKVP result problems start at the college level, not at the university. Three issues come up again and again in 2026.

Internal and Practical Marks Not Uploaded

The university evaluates the written answer sheets. Each college must upload internal and practical marks on the Samarth portal. The result stays on hold until both parts reach the university.

In April 2026, over 50 colleges held back odd semester practical marks. In August 2026, 40 or more colleges missed first semester marks for 50 papers. Of these, 30 were in Varanasi and 10 in Chandauli.

Important: Internal marks not sent on time are counted as zero.

Result Shows Absent After Writing the Exam

Many students wrote the exam but were marked absent in the result. The cause was a wrongly filled roll number on the OMR answer sheet. Some students left the roll number circles half filled or marked them incorrectly.

Principals have been told to train students in filling OMR sheets. Colleges have received sample copies of wrong OMR entries.

Students read the guidelines for the fee and the time limit before applying.

Note: Marks raised through re-evaluation do not count for the convocation merit list. Back paper and improvement candidates were also left out at the 48th convocation.
