Dr. C. Velmurugan is the Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department at Kumaraguru College of Technology. He has completed his research work in the area of metal matrix composites. He has guided nine Ph.D. research scholars. He has received grants from government agencies like AICTE, DST, and TNSCST for organizing conferences, seminars, and research projects. He was a reviewer in various reputed international journals and organized various conferences and short-term training programs.

We prioritize delivering education aligned with the latest technological advancements. To achieve this, our department organizes frequent guest lectures to introduce students to ICT tools, and working technologies, and inculcate a safety culture among them.
