KCT Coimbatore Faculty

Kumaraguru College of Technology features a robust faculty team, with approximately 400 teaching staff members and 395 non-teaching staff. Each department comprises around 120 members, with a faculty-to-student ratio of about 1:60. The faculty consists of well-qualified and experienced members; many hold PhDs or are currently pursuing them. The ages of faculty members range from 35 to 50 years, and they often possess industry experience and relevant certifications. Faculty members are approachable and supportive, offering guidance in both academic and extra-curricular activities.

The curriculum involves project-based learning (PBL), and the college facilitates two internal exams and one final exam per semester, with a 40:60 weightage between internal assessments and final exams. The overall pass rate is over 85%. Faculty members are known for their expertise in areas like VLSI, IoT, and embedded systems, enhancing learning with practical applications. While most faculty members are supportive and encourage student engagement, there are some who focus more on theoretical teaching than interactive methods.
