What is your philosophy of leadership? How would you describe your leadership style?

“Give respect to other to gain respect from others”

My leadership style differs from others. As RabindraNath Tagore well said in his famous song”Raja sobare than maan se maan apni fire pan”. If the leader treats the subordinates well and respects them, it will pay him/her back with good outcomes. I do respect others including all stakeholders of Camellia group and I am getting it back. I believe in distribution of power. I always try to find the positive message from each and every interaction. 

What do you think your roles and responsibilities to the Camellia Institute of Technology and the students are?

“Students should not be spoon fed rather they should be made capable to face challenges”

The role of a leader is to build confidence among students and teachers. It is my responsibility to provide an umbrella for the students and teachers. 

I feel students have to improve their thought process; the role of faculty is to improve the thought process of their students.

What can an inbound student gain from studying here in Camellia Institute of Technology?

“We keep a multidimensional view of learning and teaching students”

  • The seamless transformation from campus to corporate grooming the students.
  • Students of CIT identify problems from daily life experience and solve it by applying their technical knowledge and taking help from their guides/mentors. We don’t believe in a set of defined laboratory experiments. Our faculties give projects based on practical problems, and students solve it with available resources from the very first year..
  • Interaction with the outside world to develop life skills is also very strong in CIT. 

What are some of the biggest challenges you see, both for higher education in general and for Camellia Institute of Technology specifically?

“Teachers should propagate the idea of ‘Out of the Box’ thinking”

  • The biggest challenge of higher education is ‘Lack of Skill’. Maximum emphasis is on theoretical knowledge. Laboratory experiments are not sufficient enough to learn the skill required for an industry job. Students are focussing on Grades and Certificates. 
  • ‘Lack of Logical Thoughts’ is another big challenge. Students are dependent on ‘Copy Paste’ behaviour and herd mentality. They should come out of it.
  • Technical world is changing rapidly and some faculties are also failing to cope with it. They do not have sufficient subject knowledge and required practical skill.
  • The current pandemic has posed major uncertainties and employment issues.

How do you tend to establish a healthy relation and environment in your College?

“It is imperative to build a healthy atmosphere for the growth of the institution”

My message for all the stakeholders ( students, teachers, staff, parents) of Camellia Group is, whatever you want to do, please do it with a bit of love that will change the environment. Smiling faces and working with passion will establish a healthy relation and atmosphere inside the premises of Camellia Institute of Technology.
