From January 21, 2026, TOEFL iBT scores are reported on a new 1–6 scale, in half-point steps (e.g., 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5… up to 6). Up to 2028, this remains alongside the old 0–30 per section and 0–120 total scale.

• You get 4 section scores + one overall score on the 1–6 scale.
• The overall score = average of all 4 sections, rounded to the nearest 0.5.
• Example: If your section average is 5.25, your overall score = 5.5.
• For a 2-year transition period, your report will also show a comparable score on the 0–120 scale.

How to Send Your TOEFL Score Report?
