AP EAPCET 2026: Result Out, Counselling Expected July, Cutoff and Marks vs Rank

AP EAPCET 2026 (Andhra Pradesh Engineering Agriculture and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test), formerly known as AP EAMCET, is conducted by APSCHE (Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education) for admission to B.Tech, B.Pharm, B.Sc Agriculture, B.Sc (Hons.) Agriculture, and Pharm.D courses across more than 274 colleges in Andhra Pradesh. The AP EAPCET 2026 result was declared on July 1, 2026, with over 2.45 lakh candidates qualifying across both Engineering and Agriculture & Pharmacy streams. As of July 2, 2026, the official AP EAPCET 2026 counselling schedule has not yet been released by APSCHE — based on last year’s pattern, registration is expected to open in the 1st–2nd week of July 2026.

• Web Options / Choice Filling: AP EAPCET 2026 web option entry (choice filling) is expected to open in the 2nd week of July 2026, after counselling registration closes. Last year, the web option window stayed open for around 5–7 days. Prepare your ranked list of college and branch preferences before the window opens.
• Phase 1 Seat Allotment: The first-round seat allotment result is expected in the last week of July 2026. More than 1.7 lakh seats are available across around 274 colleges in Andhra Pradesh. Candidates with a rank under 1,000 should target top government colleges like UCEK JNTUK Kakinada and AUCE Visakhapatnam for CSE or ECE.

What is AP EAPCET 2026?

AP EAPCET is the Andhra Pradesh Engineering Agriculture and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test — a state-level entrance exam conducted by APSCHE (Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education) for admission to professional undergraduate courses in Engineering, Agriculture, and Pharmacy. The exam was previously called AP EAMCET (Engineering Agriculture Medical Common Entrance Test). Medical admissions (MBBS, BDS) were later moved exclusively under NEET, which led to the renaming of the exam to AP EAPCET.

The AP EAPCET 2026 exam was conducted in May 2026 in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode across two streams: the Engineering stream (MPC) for candidates with Maths, Physics, and Chemistry, and the Agriculture & Pharmacy stream (BiPC) for those with Biology, Physics, and Chemistry. More than 2.64 lakh candidates appeared for the 2026 exam. Around 274 colleges in Andhra Pradesh use this score for admissions to B.Tech, B.Pharm, B.Sc Agriculture, B.Sc (Hons.) Agriculture, and Pharm.D programmes — with over 1.7 lakh seats filled in the previous cycle.

AP EAPCET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Check the AP EAPCET 2026 eligibility criteria carefully before appearing for counselling. Candidates who do not meet these conditions may face rejection of their application during certificate verification.

Engineering (B.Tech) — Eligibility

• You must have passed or be appearing in Intermediate (Class 12) with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry (MPC group) as core subjects
• Candidates who have completed a 3-year Diploma in Engineering from a board recognised by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Andhra Pradesh, are also eligible
• Minimum 45% aggregate marks in the qualifying exam for General / OC / EWS candidates
• Minimum 40% marks for BC, SC, and ST candidates
• Minimum age: 16 years as on December 31, 2026
• No upper age limit for Engineering

Agriculture (B.Sc Agriculture / B.Sc Hons. Agriculture) — Eligibility

• You must have passed Intermediate with Biology, Physics, and Chemistry (BiPC) or with Maths, Physics, and Chemistry (MPC)
• Minimum 45% aggregate marks for General / OC candidates; 40% for BC, SC, ST
• Minimum age: 17 years as on December 31, 2026

Pharmacy (B.Pharm / Pharm.D) — Eligibility

• Intermediate with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (MPC) or Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (BiPC)
• For B.Pharm: minimum age 16 years as on December 31, 2026
• For Pharm.D: minimum age 17 years as on December 31, 2026

Domicile and Residency Requirement

• You must be a resident of Andhra Pradesh, OR have studied in AP for at least 7 consecutive years before appearing in the qualifying examination
• 85% of seats in every college are reserved for local area candidates (students from the corresponding educational zone — AU, OU, or SVU)
• 15% of seats are unreserved (open to all AP candidates regardless of zone)
• Candidates from outside Andhra Pradesh can apply but compete only for the 15% non-local open seats

Your local area is determined based on where you studied from Class 9 to Class 12. If you moved to a different zone only for Class 11–12, you may be classified as non-local for that zone — verify your local area status on your AP EAPCET rank card before choosing colleges.

AP EAPCET 2026 Application Process

The AP EAPCET 2026 registration was open from February 4, 2026 to March 24, 2026 without a late fee. A late fee option of ₹10,000 was available from March 25 to April 10, 2026. The application window for the 2026 cycle is now closed. For students planning for AP EAPCET 2027, here is how the process typically works:

• Step 1 — New Registration: Create a login on the official portal using your mobile number and email ID. Note your application number immediately after registration
• Step 2 — Fill Application Form: Enter personal details (name, date of birth, gender, category), academic qualification, and preferred exam center location
• Step 3 — Upload Documents: Upload your recent passport-size photograph and signature as per the specified format and file size limits
• Step 4 — Pay Application Fee: Pay online via net banking, debit card, credit card, or UPI. The fee varies by category and whether you appear for one or both streams
• Step 5 — Submit and Download: Review all entries before final submission. Download and print the confirmation page for future reference

AP EAPCET 2026 Application Fee

The application fee is non-refundable. A late fee of ₹10,000 was charged for applications submitted after March 24, 2026. Candidates who wanted to appear in both Engineering and Agriculture & Pharmacy streams had to pay the combined fee and select both streams in a single application.

AP EAPCET 2026 Syllabus

The AP EAPCET 2026 syllabus is based entirely on the AP Intermediate (Class 11 and 12) curriculum prescribed by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh (BIEAP). Unlike JEE Main, which follows NCERT with some additions, AP EAPCET stays strictly within the BIEAP textbook scope. If you studied under CBSE or another board, map your topics carefully to the BIEAP curriculum before starting practice.

AP EAPCET 2026 Admit Card

The AP EAPCET 2026 admit card (hall ticket) was released on April 28, 2026 on the official portal. Candidates downloaded their hall tickets by entering their registration number and date of birth. The Engineering stream exam was held from May 12 to May 18, 2026, and the Agriculture & Pharmacy exam was on May 19–20, 2026.

If you appeared for AP EAPCET 2026, keep your admit card safely — it is needed as a supporting document at the time of counselling along with the rank card.

• The admit card mentioned the candidate’s full name, hall ticket number, registration number, exam date, reporting time, session, and exam center address
• No candidate was permitted inside the exam hall without a valid hall ticket and a government-issued photo ID
• A city intimation slip was typically released a few days before the admit card, informing candidates of their exam city and center
• Any discrepancies noticed in the admit card before the exam should have been reported immediately to the AP EAPCET helpdesk

For AP EAPCET 2027, the admit card is expected around April 2027 based on the year-on-year schedule pattern.

AP EAPCET 2026 Answer Key

APSCHE released the AP EAPCET 2026 preliminary answer key on May 23, 2026. Candidates had until May 25, 2026 to raise objections online against any question they believed was answered incorrectly. After reviewing all submitted objections, APSCHE incorporated valid corrections into the final answer key, which was then used to compute the July 1, 2026 result.

• Separate answer keys were released for each exam date and session (the Engineering exam ran across 5 days in 2 daily shifts)
• Candidates could challenge answers by paying a fee per question. The fee was refunded if the objection was accepted as valid
• The final answer key, which reflected all verified corrections, served as the basis for the result and normalised rank computation
• Objection fees were forfeited for challenges that were reviewed and found incorrect by the expert committee

CSE, AI/ML, and Data Science branches close at the most competitive ranks. Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and EEE branches close at much higher rank numbers (less competitive), making them accessible even with a rank above 30,000.

AP EAPCET 2026 Preparation Tips

Although the AP EAPCET 2026 exam is over, the following tips are useful for candidates preparing for AP EAPCET 2027 or any similar state-level Engineering and Pharmacy entrance exam.

Subject-Wise Strategy — Engineering Stream

• Mathematics (80 questions — 50% of the paper): This is the single most important subject in the Engineering stream. Focus on Coordinate Geometry (2D — circles, conics), Calculus (differentiation, integration, differential equations), Algebra (complex numbers, permutations), and Trigonometry. These five areas together account for more than 70% of the Mathematics questions in past AP EAPCET papers. Solve at least 40–50 Maths problems daily throughout your preparation phase.
• Physics (40 questions): Mechanics, Electrostatics, Current Electricity, and Optics together account for more than 60% of Physics marks in AP EAPCET. Prioritise these four areas. For each topic, master the formulas and their direct applications — AP EAPCET Physics questions are more formula-based than conceptual.
• Chemistry (40 questions): Organic Chemistry (named reactions, reagents, products) and Physical Chemistry (equilibrium, electrochemistry, thermodynamics) are the highest-yield areas. Inorganic Chemistry (p-block and d-block element properties) needs systematic memorisation — start early with short notes and revise weekly.

Subject-Wise Strategy — Agriculture and Pharmacy Stream

• Botany and Zoology (80 questions — 50% of the paper): The Agriculture & Pharmacy stream had an 89.59% pass rate in 2026 — much higher than Engineering. Biology questions in AP EAPCET are fact-based and directly from BIEAP textbooks. Read each chapter of your Intermediate Biology textbooks line by line, focusing on definitions, diagrams (labelled), life cycles, and classification tables. Flashcards work very well for Biology retention.
• Physics and Chemistry: Same strategy as the Engineering stream applies here for these two subjects.

General Tips for AP EAPCET Preparation

• Strictly follow the AP Intermediate (BIEAP) textbooks — the exam does not go beyond this curriculum
• Solve at least 10 full previous year AP EAPCET question papers within the 3-hour time limit each
• Take 2–3 online CBT mock tests per week during the last 2 months — the exam is on computer, so practicing on screen helps with speed and navigation
• Since there is no negative marking, attempt all 160 questions in the exam. An educated guess on the remaining questions can add 5–10 marks, which can shift your rank by thousands
• Your Intermediate (Class 12) marks carry 25% weightage in the final rank — do not neglect board exam preparation, especially in the last 2 months before boards
• Create a formula sheet for Maths and Physics and review it every alternate day during the last month before the exam
• Target completing the entire syllabus at least 6 weeks before the exam to allow sufficient time for revision and mock tests
