EAMCET Eligibility Courses

The AP EAPCET 2025 mandates specific subject combinations at the 10+2 (Intermediate) level for eligibility across various courses.

Subject Combinations for Eligibility

Engineering Courses (B.Tech.): The majority of AP EAPCET candidates choose the MPC stream, which is under the eligibility requirements for courses in engineering.

Agriculture & Allied Courses: A substantial number of candidates from the BPC stream choose agriculture-related courses, which indicate the eligibility conditions.

Pharmacy Courses (B.Pharmacy, Pharma-D): MPC and BPC students both are interested in pharmacy courses since the eligibility conditions include both combinations of subjects.

Course Mandatory Subjects in 10+2 / Equivalent Additional Notes
B.Tech. (Engineering Courses) Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry (MPC stream) Candidates who have completed or are appearing in a Diploma in Engineering recognized by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Andhra Pradesh or Telangana, are also eligible.
B.Tech. (Dairy Technology) Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry (MPC stream) Candidates must have completed 10+2 with MPC subjects.
B.Tech. (Agricultural Engineering) Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry (MPC stream) No additional subjects required.

AP EAMCET 2025 Qualifying Marks

For General and OBC Candidates, they must obtain at least 25% of the total marks to be eligible for the examination. Since the exam is out of 160 marks, this would mean a minimum of 40 marks.

SC/ST Candidates, there is no minimum qualifying mark stipulated for candidates of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. Nevertheless, their admission is restricted to the extent of reserved seats for such categories.

What are the cutoff marks for EAMCET 2025?

The relationship between marks obtained and corresponding ranks can vary each year based on factors such as the number of candidates, exam difficulty, and seat availability.

  • Applicants with 160–150 marks are most likely to obtain top 10 ranks, allowing them to select highly competitive branches in top-notch institutions.
  • Those with 149–140 marks will obtain ranks between 11–50, permitting admission into top colleges, albeit perhaps with less popular courses.
  • A mark between 139–120 marks (rank 50–500) still allows admission in reputable colleges, but applicants might have to accept less competitive branches.
  • Scores between 119–100 (rank 500–1500) could lead to opportunities in tier-2 colleges, while scores of less than 100 (rank 1500–30,000) indicate a greater dependence on private colleges or low-demand programs.

With decreasing marks, candidates would be inclined towards private colleges or newer fields with lower applications.

Marks Range Expected Rank Range
160–150 1–10
149–140 11–50
139–130 50–100
129–120 101–500
119–110 501–800
109–100 801–1,500
99–90 1,501–3,000
89–80 3,001–7,000
79–70 7,001–10,000
69–60 10,001–20,000
59–50 20,001–30,000

In the previous year, out of 258,374 students who appeared for the Engineering stream exam, 195,092 candidates successfully cleared it, marking a pass rate of 75.51%.
